Why does Lori Goldstein get a "screen shot' presentation of a $69.95 necklace, yet Louis does not? He has only twice, since the introduction of his jewelry line, presented pieces on air---the watch a couple of years ago, and then recently another watch and a pair of earrings on air with Alberti---but no videos with either item on line.

I am just so puzzled as to why his Linea jewelry is on-line only. I guess the only consolation is that we are competing with less people for the jewelry items we want. But on the other hand, if the Linea jewelry was presented on air, there would be a lot larger order/inventory.

It's just very frustrating.............

For some reason Lori is QVC's new darling. I find her over priced for what she brings. I have no problem spending money if it is quality. Her items look very Walmart to me. TSV looks cheap but yet the price isn't.

Wrong is still wrong just because you benefited from it.

"Take a simple tee from ho-hum to high-impact with this bedazzling collar-style necklace from LOGO Links" ...hmmm ho-hum top, needs the bling.

Apparently, thousands of QVC customers love her designs and they sell.

Marketing and air time have something to do with the quantity QVC sells. The Q has been pushing Lori's line for some time now. For all we know they have bought her line as they did Susan Graver. Their profit margin is greater with the lines they own.

Back before QVC tried to get rid of Louis with the change in management, he had at least 2 TSVs a year and was frequently on. Sales were great. Much more selection and greater quantities. The Q doesn't own his line and I doubt he would ever accept that arrangement.

Barbara is absolutely correct. Since Linea returned to QVC he has had just ONE TSV: the ponte peplum jacket. The TSV is a way to introduce a line to a broad range of customers, since many make a point to check what the TSV is and the huge amount of air time given to a TSV is a great marketing tool for a designer.

Lori G.'s items are fine for those who like them, but they are not exactly design rocket science. Flowy tee tops and tunics and uneven hemlines are not going to get you into the Coty designer hall of fame. But given enough air time and promotion, she can sell a lot of them.

As we know, Louis retains control of the design, fabric selection and manufacturing of his line. He is not simply lending his name to something that is mass-produced with minimal involvement in the actual process.

Some designers elsewhere limit numbers to keep their lines "exclusive." Even if this isn't what Louis is doing, his things are not going to show up on ebay with 3 or 4 thousand of them for sale at the same time! That should be worth something.

It is a joke-- IT HAS TO BE A TEST.. and a cruel one at that.

Big difference is that Louis is an award wining "high end" designer and Lori is a stylist. I have a few of her pieces (cardigans, straight leg knit pants) from her first year on the Q. Bought at clearance or on the bay- her Q prices are ridiculous. They are well made and nice for casual wear. They are not to be mistaken in any way for the quality and fit of Linea. Her rayon/span looks flimsy at best-no wonder she styles everything in multiple layers. Her styles must be popular, as they are available from many other retailers. I recently bought a tunic in the style from Lands End. Great quality modal/span blend for a fraction of the price of a LG tunic on the Q.

I don't mind that Linea jewelry is OLO. I like that the pieces are limited and exclusive. I do not like to see my jewelry/accessories "coming and going".

I agree---that is the "upside" of OLO. But when I saw that mess of a necklace that Lori was selling, I just had to shake my head......
