I really like this Kim Gravel cotton and acrylic sweater A714849 - $73.98. That's $74 bucks folks. Nope.

@Jaynah.  For $74 I want a sweater made of a nice fiber that won't pill.  Acrylic is a cheap filler fiber that pills badly.  Thats my complaint about Kim's clothing, lack of quality for the price.

Re: Whose Paying For the Fancy Headquarters?

if you like or love an item on qvc, just put it in your wishlist.

wait for a sale, a coupon, or lunchtime specials.

it generally eventually gets marked down.

if you cannot live without it, then buy it now.

if you miss it?..... c'est la vie!

that is my personal way of shopping at ALL retailers.

As much as I Iike Kim, her clothes have always been hit or miss with me, with more being misses than hits. I finally said no more.  Shipping to HI is so expensive anyway, that it's not worth sending items that I don't like back.  I've been stuck with too many that I don't like, that I finally learned my lesson.

I've loved QVC and Kim Gravel for many years, but the prices have gotten ridiculous. I agree with many of those that have posted over the last week or so that I can now get much better deals through Talbots or JJill. Lately, it seems that when I go to buy something from Kim, the reviews are not so great. Anyway, I just want to warn those that buy her clothes to watch out! She's built a new, fabulous headquarters and guess who will be paying for that new headquarters? You, that's who. Watch her prices continue to go up.

Agree!  I just looked at her "sale"items this evening..;not ONE item under $50.  She has gotten GREEDY.

Kim has over 1000 items under $25.00.

@Calibeach  You missed my point. I am not commenting on KG's prices or what she sells. I think that the post was about the business decisions the poster thinks are being made. None of her business. This is clothing we are talking about and there are hundreds of other places to shop. It is obvious the poster has an agenda.

@Janey2  No I didn't miss anything...Kim is bragging about her 'wealth' the vacations, the stuff she buys, the new corporate building and vehicles they will buy to commute to the 'Belle Campus'

It is our business because it affects our budgets as it pertains to us shopping her brand. No one is sneaking around looking for this info, Kim is telling us in a bragging manner during her shows! The shows where she's selling tops at $70-80 when they used to be sold at $35-40. The OP is free to post as little or often as anyone else. It's creepy that anyone would look at her history to use it to intimidate her. Why do that?

@Calibeach I posted that to show this is not the first time she has commented on Kim. Intimidate  her. I doubt she read the boards or even cares. Creepy is what I call your comment calling me out

@I am still oxox  Trying to control the board is creepy.

What MISERABLE, CANTANKEROUS women on this board.

I'm ALLOWED to say a sweater isn't in my budget.

@Jaynah

Wow.  I've read the posts, and I'm not really sure where someone disallowed you from discussing price on here.

We talk about price and whatnot all the time!

I think your feeling you need to "warn" everyone about Kim's new offices and that should influence their purchasing decisions seems ... a bit odd.

Whatever your educational background, I'm pretty sure you don't have a degree in Business Administration.  (Expansion can be a good thing.)

BTW ....  with EVERY vendor that has product on QVC, it's in their contract that QVC has the ultimate say on pricing.

Yes, QVC, not Kim, always sets the price.

@Tinkrbl44  It is my understanding that the vendors do have a say in the pricing. Otherwise, it wouldn't work.

Also, on Facebook she announced that her studio will have a grand opening on Feb 18th. Jane and the QVC crew will be filming from it.

Re: Whose Paying For the Fancy Headquarters?

@Tori3569 ........From a fashion standpoint I can't imagine why her sales would top either JJill's or Talbots' let alone both combined. JMHO, but I prefer their predominantly timeless styles. Some of Kim's products look cheap to me.

Re: Whose Paying For the Fancy Headquarters?

And on another note that is totally OT we (Hubbs and myself) have not been to a mall since BC(before Covid). I was in a thrift store the other day and another shopper told me that the prices for clothing are really outta sight at the malls. Just sayin'
