Navy is my go-to color. I actually just made a true navy dress to wear to my g.daughter's graduation.
Did you happen to catch Lori's (she called it) Ocean Blue top last night? That was the most perfect blue/navy color, though I did not care for the design.

Ditto on navy, especially shoes. Luckily Woman Within offers a lot of navy for larger women, especially bottoms, which is nice.

Please do share how to look 20 pounds thinner.
I've heard instant 5 and sometimes 10 pounds thinner claims but 20 pounds is major.
@lulu2,Please excuse my lag in answering your question. I wasn't trying to be rude. With DH being in the hospital twice in a week and a half, plus the loss of a close girlfriend downstainrs in the same hospital while DH was there, my second mom was laid to rest, and a former favorite student whom I have remained close friends with, almost bled to death in the ICU across the street from where I spent the week with DH, and my beautiful 85 fur baby went comotose in the floor from a severe infection while DH was in the hospital. That was six days for me.
I'd love to help you, but I have to see you in order to style you. There are many tricks for every body style. How would you like to do this?

I'm sorry for all the stress you are dealing with.
I asked how you made someone look 20 pounds thinner in general. I'm sure many would love to know some secrets. Over the years most of us have had a few extra pounds at one time or another.
As for me, I am quite the opposite. My doctor is always telling me to gain weight. 50+ years of suffering from anorexia and bulimia will not let me intentionally gain weight,

Ladies, it seems that availibility of green exists and well as the depth of the shade.
Many times, the Pantone color of the year comes out in higher concentration the next year. If companies have gone into early production. they'll miss that first season.
Finding a certain shade is covered by Carole Jackson in her book "Color Me Beautiful" where there is a full page of all the neutrals and colors best suited to each complection. When the book first came out, you could be in a store and the person ahead of you had her book open to her 50-60 color pallatte for her season. Carole says that a color will appear in highest concentration in the season for which it is named. True emerald green, therefore, is in winter's palette and those are the months that color will be available. If your green is "spring green", then It will be available only in the spring.
Her book is still on amazon and a smart purchase. Then all of your colors flow along together. On the color page you see the hue of every single color for your complection. Each color flows into the other!
I color coded every one of my Interior Design students because if you decorate a home in a palette other than yours it's usually an impluse buy.
The first time I bought upholstered furniture I bought a pretty fall print. In six months I HATED it! Everytime I walked into that room, my head said "Wrong! wrong!!!" I had to live with it several years, however!"
Just a quick question @ECBG. I have been told the color theories of the 70's and 80's are outdated by countless sales people, hairdressers and stylists. I am quite neutral but lean towards Summer seasonal color theory. Are you a purist when it comes to white metals with cool seasons and yellow with warm seasons. I have read people should not wear yellow gold if they are cool. I find it all kind of confusing... And aren't rules meant to be broken?
Thanks for your expertise.
@Trinity11 I have heard that many times as well.

Aqua is my favorite color, but it has to be perfect. Many have too much green and just aren't as flattering on me as an aqua that leans toward robin's egg blue.
