Re: When I spotted this Big Deal dress on the home page

It's a basic Tank style dress. Up close the construction looks cheap though. The patterns don't lineup at all. I know it's a lower price point, but I would never purchase just for that fact alone.

I like it!  Don't like the poly/span material which I find to be very heavy.  But a good length, pockets and price.  Wish it had some cotton in it.

I never see anyone in my area wearing anything like these dresses.

They certainly are not for me.

Looks like a tank dress to me. I purchased one in black and a blue and white print a couple of summers ago. A tank dress is cool and comfortable on hot days. Lots of retailers sell them.

Even Ralph Lauren sells tank dresses.

The rep for Cuddl Duds, Carrie (spelling), looked beautiful in her dress.

She wore the pink floral. Jayne B. looked great also. She styled hers

with a jean jacket over it and then took it off later in the presentation.

Even if these types of dresses are in style again, the problem is in the translation.  The Q's goal is to make a garment very forgiving to avoid returns.  In doing so they seldom come up with something chic (or flattering at least.)

They have to: not make the sleeves too short, or the armholes too big (or small) the neckline too low, the waist too fitted, the skirt too flared (or straight) yadda, yadda , yadda...  This is all a real challenge when you have to design a dress that ranges in size from xxs to xxxxxl.

@Iwantcoffee

I really like the Lauren tank dress pictured.  I could wear that dress.

It looks nothing like the dress in the original post to me.  The plaid and the voluminous skirt.  I do not care at all for the dress in the original post and see no one wearing this style.

If I was still working from home, I'd get a lot of wear from this dress.
