I was very lucky to have met Joan Rivers so many years ago when I took my Mother to The Joan Rivers Show in NYC, where we live. I had been watching QVC with Joan since day one, so you can imagine just how many pieces of jewely I have, not to mention an entire closet of her clothes. I happen to be wearing a few of her pieces that day, of course, and at the end of the show she spotted us, not only did she take two pictures with me, but she was absolutely nicest person on earth! I will treasure those moments, especially since I recently lost my mother (who also was my best friend!) suddenly in her sleep, so I know how in shock Melissa and Cooper must be and I understand their feelings at this moment. My prayers go out to Melissa, Cooper and their family. Joan Rivers will always be remembered and her legacy will continue on forever! Thanks for the wonderful memories Joan. Kathleen P.

How fortunate that you have such a wonderful memory of Joan. What a nice story.

My condolences on the loss of your mother. Loosing your mother is one of the most life changing events that there is.

Your so lucky to have met her. I heard many times how gracious Joan was to her fans and how much she appreciated them and never thought she was above anything or anyone. So many Stars you hear horror stories about them being nasty to their fans but not Joan she would stand and sign for anybody and took pictures if asked. She was a class act

That was a nice story. Like everyone who met Joan, I too found her warm, friendly, and genuine. I met her at Newark Airport. I told her I love her jewelry. She stopped, smiled at me, and said, "Me too." We both laughed. My daughter met her at the stage door after a performance. Joan greeted each fan, signed autographs, and stayed a long time, chatting with everyone. She truly appreciated her fans, never took them for granted, and never took her success for granted either. As another poster wrote, Joan was real. I think that's why so many people feel her loss so profoundly.

My husband and I were fortunate enough to attend Joan's show several years ago at MGM Resorts Casino. Shortly before the show Joan walked by us and banged into my husband. She was so gracious and actually was worried that he was okay.

The show was hilarious and we often remembered her kindness to us. She was a great lady and will be truly missed. Fashion Police was one of the few shows I watched every week.
