I have like the mid-thigh zippered coat. It's good for MI but I'm leaning towards wanting a long cloth coat. Had one a few years back. Don't know why I switched over. Not like I was going to be out playing in the snow. Those days are long gone.
What's yours like?

I've got the standard black down puffy coat. Like yourself, I don't go out much in the snow either lol. I also have a hot pink Calvin Klein pea coat I purchased about five years ago too. This is definitely the year to break it back out 😃

I have 3 different legnth coats :
short
mid legnth
long coat for when I wear skirts or if I want to be really covered for blustery weather.
I also have coats with hoods and waterproof for those rainy days

Don't have one. Don't even own one. Not cold enough in Arizona to need one. My coat is a hoodie.

Being in New England I own many a jacket and winter vests. But as far as my real coat,
I have two. One is an emerald green long puffer coat from Lands End and the other is a black wool mid thigh coat with a hood from where I don't even remember I have had it so long and it's superior quality evidently as it still looks like new. The tag says Albert Nipon?

To tell you a lot about me, my first reaction was how in the spring I'd get out the curry comb to get rid of the horses' winter coats.
So, no, I don't have one either!
Actually it is a wonderful LL Bean all weather coat that is THE best and is a size or two big and will fit over anything and be comfortable! It is a geat investment!

I'm very "hot-natured," and I only own 1 coat, which I haven't worn in (probably) 5 years...
My "coat" wardrobe consists of 2 Ruanas: A black one and a leopard-print one. ![]()

Funny...I also thought about horses. Dh misses seeing and riding his horse. Maybe this spring we can get over to Missoula to see his horse.
As for my winter coat(s), considering we don't get very cold here in Seattle....I have too many "winter" coats. All are cloth vs puffer. I have lengths from top of thigh to my ankles. Black, gray, winter white, red, aqua, camel and navy. I really want a lavender and/or pink coat.

Being in frigid New England, I have a few, almost all of them a decade (plus) old.
My Christmas present this year is a long blue parka that I bought at Talbot's for half price! Pretty and practical. ![]()

I wear a raspberry colored down coat with hood. It can get very cold and windy in New Jersey sometimes!
