Re: What Style Is Your Bathing Suit?

The last time I wore 2-pc swimsuits I was in my mid-40's...

Since then, from the time I started to gain weight til I lost it all, I have worn 1-pc swim dresses. I like that style the best.

I only have 3 bathing suits now...that's all I need. I tried searching for images and/or the QVC item #'s and only got lucky retrieving one of them. It is a 'Fit 4 U' and the style/name is 'Whirlwind Wrap Swim Dress'. I bought it a few years ago and it's not available anymore.

I like that swim dress above, I realize swim dresses are matronly but my body can't pull off a two piece!  We have a pool so I have lots of bathing suits, if I swim alone at night I don't wear anything!

@spumoni99  I beg to differ. I could not disagree with you more...

I feel/look about 20-30 yrs younger in this style...and I'm 64. Smiley Happy

I actually don't think they look matronly to be honest but it seemed like everyone was saying they were so I was saying they were seen as matronly, if that makes sense.  I think a lot of them are very cute.

I really don't like how I look in a swim suit so to be comfortable I will wear swim shorts or board shorts at the beach with either a tankini top or a short sleeved t shirt.

Re: What Style Is Your Bathing Suit?

This is a fun topic!  I enjoy hearing about everyone's style, and why they choose it.  I absolutely love swimming.  I am in my pool most days in the summer.  I don't linger for a tan, but get a great workout swimming.  I mostly enjoy a two piece, or boy short with tankini top.  Easy to swim in and for trips to the bathroom!

When I was young, I actually had a very beautiful one piece that was made like a swim dress.  It wasn't long, but had a small skirt that was ruffled.  The top was strapless and I had a beautiful tan.  I wore jewelry and it made it look sexy!  I think the reason that I got a great deal of attention was the fact that I was so young that people couldn't believe that I wasn't wearing the string bikini and I was modest looking!
