Re: What Is Your Major Neutral Color?

Black when I worked because it was easy and always looked right.  Now that I don't have to be on-point for meetings and conferences, I don't have a neutral.

I am a neutral person.  I will always go for softer colors, and pale neutrals.  Talbots summer colors geared toward soft blues and turquoses are the flavor of the summer.

I got the white jean jacket with navy today and am in love with it with white jeans and a navy t-shirt!

I don't like black or navy.  My neutrals would be shades of green or shades of brown

@ECBG @I love cream, beige, tan, but they mostly wash me out. I wear mostly black, gray, navy, white.

When I think neutrals I immediately think "wheats", sand, and I love those in some summery, woven sweaters, like with a white pant.

But I love ivories, whites, olives and navy, too, for neutrals. Navy especially in summer. And white is always a favorite.

That whole white tee or "crisp white shirt" with a navy blazer, & great jean, can't be beat in my book.

I do black in winter, of course; it can be striking, it can also be harsh at times...and I find more these days I'm liking more color than black on me, like swapping navy for it.

@ECBG Though, you do make a good point...but I think designers have "muddied up" navy and sometimes don't do a true, deep, navy, which is more neutral than some of the lighter colors they pass for it sometimes.

My major neutral color is black.  To me navy is a "color" and can't be mixed as easily.

Some coloring needs navy to be the main neutral, black can be harsh on their complexion.

@ECBG   I've gravitated towards black since college. Sometimes I add dark charcoal grey, white and of course, denim.

I had a favorite camel blazer and a few tan/taupe/beige sweaters, but had to give them up now that my hair is silver.

Grey.  I used to be obssessed with it, LOL!  It's still my favorite.  I like Black too, except for in the summer.  I also love variations of black like washed black, etc.

Black, hands down. I've never felt as comfortable in navy. But I also like white, gray, and oatmeal or a linen-type color if it's not too yellow.

And I wear denim jeans all the time so I guess that color too.

Navy. I don't wear black at all. Black would wash me out and make me older and tired. Navy is the backbone of my wardrobe I wear navy pants, jackets, coats, shoes, purses, and tops.

I only wear colors in my cool palette so my wardrobe colors mix and match with everything I own. It has never been so easy for me to dress in my life. I finally have my perfect wardrobe.

Black - All my dresses are black, as are my "dressy" pants sets.  Gives me unlimited options of color combos.

White is second neutral.
