Hi fashion friends.

I was busy this week with fashion maintenance. Started the process of storing wool and cashmere. I put a few in the deep freezer for two or three days, then put them in storage bags with cedar blocks, squeeze the air out and store under the bed (I hand wash them if needed before I store).

I stopped buying wool; I have a few, which is enough for the few times a year I need wool. And I instituted a moratorium on buying anything black as I have enough black, too. Which means I pared down my winter wardrobe purchases this year and only have to go through the freezing/squeezing/storing process two or three times. A tedious process, but necessary.😒

I also made a few sewing tweaks on various items for transition and summer.

Here are some outfits I put together based on some comments from last week...

#1 For transition (wore it to dinner last night). Frame lace top over black SkinnyTee, Kate Hill linen shirt, Levi's Dad jeans, Donald Pliner sandals, Brighton woven leather bag (in my top 10 favorite thrifts $22 at my local charity thrift)...everything thrifted.

#2 Summer version. Loft black/white striped tank, J.Crew striped ankle tie espadrilles, Marc Jacobs leather striped bag...everything but the bag thrifted...could be a striped piece too far!?

This was a switch I made from last week...

Last week: Unbranded boho/romantic blouse-that-I-always-wear-as-a-jacket, AG Isabelle crops, Converse Shoreline sneaks, SAK raffia bag...all thrifted.

#3 I did not like the boho blouse/jacket, but I'd be hard-pressed to say why😬. Switched to thrifted Alfred Dunner beaded/embroidered/clip dot romantic blouse, which is two inches longer than the boho blouse/jacket. And switched to old Hilfiger floral espadrilles from Nordstrom (because I'm wild and crazy.😆

Close up...

#4 So that I would never again make the mistake of wearing this boho top as a blouse😁, I removed the buttons and folded and sewed in place both sides of the button placket. It is now officially a jacket!**😎  And, as of today, this is the only outfit I wear it with...thrifted unbranded blue eyelet, tie dyed, and embroidered drapey overalls, Sam Edelman striped crossover sandals (The Rack).

Close up...Chico's beaded bracelet, Brighton filigree hinged cuff, sterling silver heart toggle necklace were thrifted.

If you store wool and cashmere, I'd love to know what process you use.  Do you freeze?  What kind of storage container do you use?  Do you just instinctively know when to store and when to take out of storage?  Do you use cedar (or lavender or moth balls or...)?

Until next time, thank you for reading this ridiculously long post🙄 (I tried to be brief, I really did) and Godspeed!❤️

** @ROMARY  I seem to have trouble describing my clothing! When is a vest a topper? Is this a blouse or a jacket? OY!🤣

@MacDuFF.  You do always look stylish even in the most casual jeans and shirt.  Some women are just born with the knack of dressing and are fortunate enough to  have "the look".  You dress similarly to the way most of us probably dress.

Love the white blouse transformed into a jacket. Probably get much more use out of it.
