You look great in both choices,as usual. I'm really liking my wide leg jeans, similar to those in the pic.  They are kind of heavy, so packed away for the season.

Hey there @MacDuFF   I love the idea of Elements of Style (EOS). For me, finding a top or bottom that's visually interesting is my first thought. It could be a color, a pattern, or something with texture for one item in an outfit.  Then I would add jewelry to add another "layer" of interest. And don't get me started on my handbags!
I really like your romantic white blouse. You could pair that with so many things in your closet. I bet a short scarf would add another style element, unless it's too hot for that. Or try your black lace base layer underneath the white.
It's sometimes hard to break out of our pattern of "I always wear this top with these pants". Playing in our closets is a great way to be creative.

Enjoy your day.

Thank you all for the nice comments.❤️

I honestly don't think I'd wear either outfit as is. I won't bore you with every.single.tiny.detail (there are about a dozen😮) of why I don't love either outfit...but, for example, the white blouse is too short, the Dad jeans are too slouchy, don't love the black lace...BUT, I do think they represent how you can come up with an outfit using elements of style rather than exact copying. Trust me, Alyssa is much better at it than I.😁 I'll play with both outfits, make some tweaks, to see if I can come up with a love.

If this is your jam😆😎...A nice lady on another fashion board referred me to another super creative stylist on youtube.  Emily Wheatley.  She has two channels, but the one I would recommend for content that goes beyond the norm is called The Vogue Breaker.  Go to youtube (dot com) and search for @TheVogueBreaker and it should be the first choice at the top...click it and her page should come up with seven videos (thus far).  Here's her picture...

Have a great weekend, and thanks again!

@MacDuFF I think your outfits are great!  I think you always show us what can be achieved out of our own closets!  I admire your personal style, and to me now days looking as nice as you always do is a winner and you get so many extra points for doing great with what you have!
