Hi fashion friends.
Our normal early spring has arrived, which means rollercoaster temps and that disgusting chartreuse pollen.
This is not funny, trust me!
#1 Except for the LDO bar necklace and snap closure stainless steel bracelet, everything is thrifted. Brand tag missing on white lettuce edged ribbed sweater with 5% wool, old Levi's 724 high-rise straight distressed jeans that I patched, Coach crossbody, and newly thrifted Bertuchi boots made in Spain. New with tags. Same boots on eBay are running $70 to $90. I paid $30 at my favorite local charity thrift. They have a combat boot look, but with a zipper and a sleeker shape and could not be more comfortable. Love, love, love!...
#2 Add thrifted Tahari jacket depending on weather conditions...
#3 Thrifted Tahari cashmere charcoal/gray/white topper. Hefty cashmere and warm, but not overly so. Turns out to be one of my favorite cashmere thrifts. Thrifted Gloria Vanderbilt slouchy/straight jeans, new with tags...
#4 Theory wool/alpaca sweater from Nordstrom Rack. More a good, functional piece for colder temps than a big love...the pattern is not bad, but not great. It couldn't be softer or cozier. I swore I'd never buy on final sale, but it was $495 retail for $50, and I'm more concerned with warmth and function than style in winter. The quality is exceptional...it'll probably last the rest of my life! Thrifted gray Gap straight jeans, but I don't love all this gray (starting with my hair haha), so will wear this sweater with dark indigo and black instead.
#5 Managed to find a winter color I could love...thrifted Tahari raspberry cashmere...
#6 Saw this on Pinterest...you might be interested. I like cuffed jeans (in case you hadn't noticed haha), and have lately seen rolled cuffs, but rolling never worked for me...ended up looking sloppy and wouldn't stay in place. I tried this in picture #3. This is apparently how the "cool kids" do it...
Pinch a bit of the hem. I played with it to get a slightly tapered leg, but you could make it tighter for a bit of a barrel leg (which I don't like) or less...however you like it.
Holding the pinch in place, turn up the edge all around...I just turned the edge up along the seam for a thinner roll, but you can make it as thick as you like.
Roll it to desired inseam length. I rolled this twice, but I'm going to try 3 times with these higher shafted boots. It stayed in place all day. I think it's a neat styling trick for something different...
Until next time, I wish you Godspeed.❤️

Hi MacDuff! Glad to see your post. I have to say that Theory sweater is awesome. What a great find! Agreed I also would like it paired with a darker pant. I also like the blue Coach bag. I don't own anything like it and whenever it appears in one of your posts my eye goes right to it and gives me a mental happy dance. Thanks for sharing!

Love all your outfits. I love the raspberry sweater and outfit especially. I am the same way - I like the rolled hem jean but I can't seem to get them to look neat or stay the way I want them!

You do a great job putting an outfit together. I especially like your pretty raspberry sweater and scarf with jeans, pink bag and shoes.

Good morning, Cuz! LOL at the pollen meme because it's so true! It will be that bad here in NJ very soon.
I really like the white lettuce edged ribbed sweater better on its own than with the jacket. It's perfect with jeans and the pretty blue Coach bag.
I appreciate the detail and design of your Tahari topper in picture #3. The patterns work so well together.
Your raspberry cashmere sweater paired with that scarf are spot on. Adding in the pink bag and shoes are definitely a look I like. Enjoy your day.

This is my favorite. The color is great on you and I like the jeans. The boots you found are the bomb - SCORE!
The rolled jean trick was done WAY back in the 90's. Everything comes around, doesn't it?
OT it looks as if things are beginning to bud in your neck of the wood.... We live in the woods up north and I would always love watching the green haze appear on the trees. Everyday a little bit more.....then the hostas would push up....
Here we are in full blown summer and I LOVE it!

I wear all my jeans rolled at the cuff. The petites often seem too long for me, so I roll them for the right length. I tried hemming but it didn't work.
I like your white zip boots. Stylish!
