You can assume most items in any outfit I post were thrifted. I frequently spend time in my closet creating different outfits & take pictures (to refresh my memory😁 & to keep track of each piece). I'm slowing down👵& can't keep up like I used to😭, but I want to keep posting here; it's an enjoyable pastime & I've gotten some of my best ideas from your comments & suggestions throughout the years. If I don't get back to this thread, I apologize, but please know I read & appreciate all your comments.  As always, I hope you are inspired to be creative and shop your closet.❤️

Hi fashion friends.

We're moving on from early to late fall, which means roller coaster weather. Today was a beautiful 73ish sunny day, but last week we had a 40 degree wintry mix.

I used to be a hale and hearty Midwesterner, but even I had to join the native North Carolinians whining and crying about how cold it was. I'm counting it as one of our usual seven to 10 days a year of real winter weather, which, trust me, Midwesterners would have thought was balmy and shed their coats and put on shorts!

#1
One of my many white button front shirts (can't remember which one👵) over a lightweight base layer, silk leopard scarf, Natori for HSN black slacks (nice, but lint magnet), Marc Jacobs striped leather bag (do I get style points for mixing prints?😁) and woven cloth Eileen Fisher mules.

I put "black loafers" in the eBay search bar...per usual, I got a ton of loafers AND mules AND slides AND whateverall else I didn't ask for. Usually, I'm highly annoyed by this (add it to the many reasons I've slowed my eBay shopping to practically nothing), but these EF mules came up, and, long story short, I couldn't be happier with them. I prefer mules to loafers anyway.

This jacket satisfied my inclination toward something different!!   The length is perfect for wearing with slim jeans, it's midweight (lined in lightweight fleece) and can be worn with different base layers depending on the temps, it's cozy, comfy and wash/dry/wear.  And the colors!

I stopped buying black a few years ago...IIRC the only black piece I've bought in quite a while is a Quince cashmere ($5 YAY!)...and have been on a fashion mission for color in winter.  Am I the only one who wants something other than the traditional fall and winter colors?!?

Gaiam 🤷‍♀️ floral hooded jacket in various shades of pink and purple, Shein shrunken/cropped/ribbed pink top which I bought for the color, sleeves and neck for transition layering.  It's the perfect shade of pink if you ask me...why can I not find a winter sweater in this color😠?!?

I hope everyone has a great week!❤️

Wonderful to see these outfits @MacDuFF !  You always look so collected, and so spiffy without looking like you are trying too hard.

You put together combinations that are so right and appropriate for real life all the while being upgraded so much over jeans/pants and a t-shirt!  Woman LOL

I love your sense of style and originality!  Stay cool or warm as the case may be, have fun, and post updates when you can!

Love your pink floral jacket, so soft and feminine. The pink top is the perfect accompaniment!

Black mules, love! Wonderful looks as always @MacDuFF

I love that printed jacket!  Those colors are gorgeous.  And the little mules are so cute.  You look wonderful as usual!

Hey there, Cuz! You're looking good in your fall outfits. Yes, you get points for mixing patterns in picture #1 😊. You did well with a small print scarf and a larger print striped bag.
I really like your pink and purple hooded jacket. It look likes it is good for those days where you just need a little something to keep warm, but not a full coat.  I hope you have great day.

I love your black and white outfit.  I'm not much for scarves so I'd probably ditch that and opt for a black vest with a print (probably paisley).

I love your roller coaster.  Back in the day, I'd go to an amusement part and basically ride roller coasters all day.  I haven't been in years and don't think I could probably stand riding them all day now.  However, I do go to youtube almost daily and watch (ride in my mind) my favorite roller coaster that I dearly love!  Sorry I got off topic!!

You look great in pink.  I've been looking for pink tops for two+ years with very little luck. I hope those Pantone folks decide this will be a pink year.
