Wedge Heels

I was reading the advanced promo for the upcoming B Mak shoes TSV, and he states that wearing wedge shoes makes a woman feel more "confident". Is that even remotely true? I have a few pairs of wedges and I am now wondering if I feel more confident when I wear them! I will have to experiment. This sounds like sales pitch BS to me, but what do you other women think? Does wearing wedges give you a feeling of confidence?
