Re: Waitlist - Is it worth it?

I don't really use waitlist because a lot of the time

I shop on the spur of the moment and if I have

to wait a month and half to get the item

I may not evaen want it by then.

Re: Waitlist - Is it worth it?

I have always gotten my waitlist order. Even when it has run over the 45 days.

Re: Waitlist - Is it worth it?

I don't know how it wouldn't be worth it. If it comes in, you get the item. If it does not, you don't. The alternative is you don't get it at all and have no chance that you will get it.

Going on waitlist has no adverse risk.

Re: Waitlist - Is it worth it?

Well, I guess I was thinking, if there's less than a 50% chance of getting the item, then just find something else. In the past I've always cancelled, doubting QVC was ever really filling most of the waistlist orders, thought it was a sales tactic. Buy yay, most people seem to receive their waitlist orders! Good news ?? !!!

Re: Waitlist - Is it worth it?

The majority of times I have used waitlist, I have received the item within the specified time period. More often than not when there has been a delay, I have been notified in writing of the revised possible ship date period. If the item can't be shipped and the order cancelled, I have received written notification of that too.

Re: Waitlist - Is it worth it?

For me one advantage of waitlist is that I usualy get a chance to read a few reviews. If they are mixed or favorable, I will usually stay on WL but if many of the reviews are negative, then most of the time I cancel. At HSN, I put the item in my Favorites and continue to check reviews. If the item comes back in stock then I'll decide if I still want it.

You don't have anything to lose. If you get it, great. If not, you weren't expecting it anyway.
