I use jackets and have a few.  But won't keep or buy any that are uncomfortable to wear.    I layer most of the time and just depends on the weather.  Chilly here lately so been using them more.  

I use layering pieces the most and usually chilly any place you go on the inside.  

My recent purchase were the Logo TSV jackets.  I absolutely love them.  Comfy and not heavy either.  I will get a lot of use out of those.  Got the gray and darker wash.

I like your outfits and the first one is my favorite.  I just love a stripped navy top.

Although I'm now retired, jackets have always been part of my wardrobe,even now.

#2 is my favorite look this week. LOVE the jacket, shirt and shoes in particular.

I would wear your beautiful Tahari jacket in #1 all fall, spring and summer. 

Love the pink shacket in #3 AND the pink shoes!

I like both pairs of shoes, am a sucker for any kind of suede shoes!

@SharkE    Did you see the cute eyelet jean-style jacket on HSN last night?  Something different and more summery than the ordinary jean jackets.  It's shown with a matching top.

#1 and 2 are great, like everything about them.  The shoes on #2 are perfect with that outfit. I have about 7 or 8 jackets,  most I hardly wear.  I have a soft corduroy jean jacket in navy that I love.

Yeah, I was watching HSN, didn't see that one. I liked the tie dyed 3 quarter sleeve jacket although it was pricey.   Dang thing was only 20 inches long ! Why they made it so short I don't know. Guess maybe for the young girls. Decided against it in the long run.

My favorites are #1 & #2. I like the way you put together those outfits, colors, and pieces. 

I own about ten jackets. I have cotton twill jean style jackets, fleece jackets, one bomber style jacket, & leather & faux leather jackets. If you add to those my sweater & knit hoodies & my blazers which I wear as "third pieces", I definitely don't need anymore. 🥴

I think a jacket of some kind adds a more polished look to any outfit, even a more casual one. I don't wear my fleece or leather in warm weather, but the others I wear all year because even in the summer A/C is blasting in stores, restaurants, etc.

Outfit #2 is my favorite outfit, I love the white jeans and the colors above and below..  Too bad you don't really like those shoes, as they are great with that look.  I also like the pink jacket in #3.

One good thing about not wearing an item too often, it lasts.  I'm surprised that you wear jackets as little as you do in NC, Iknow your winters are fairly short, but isn't it cold enough for icestorms somteims?

I am well north of you, so for me going wtihout a jacket is out of the question.  I don't know the exact number, but I have more than a few.  Like you, there are a few of mine that I don't wear too often myself, but because of that I don't have to replace them too often.  I keep them, as they do coordinate with certain outfits.
