If I happen to tune into a program that I have no interest in I just change the channel because complaining about it doesn't change the schedule.

Yep.  That's easy to do.  I flip channels a lot because most of what is on tv bores me within minutes.  Ugh.  Short attention span.  I have a few pair of shoes from this line, and I don't plan to buy more, so not watching is no problem.
