I placed an order this morning and it showed no shipping charges, so I didn't use the free shipping code listed on the web page.  After placing the order I looked it up to make sure I ordered the correct shirt.  I saw that after the order had been placed I was charged $21.50 for shipping.  WHAT?  How can they add a cost after it shows no shipping charge and the order has been placed.  I immediately called customer service and got no where so I tried the online chat.  I was told it would be sent to billing to be reviewed and I would hear something in 3 days.  How unethical of QVC in the first place and then to take 3 days to review it.  Crazy!  It's no wonder people have stopped shopping here and it's in financial trouble.  Very unethical business practice.

Write everything down and when that 3 days are up--chat again about it all. Just don't wait and expect them to get back to you. Have had to do that a few times with qvc and hsn----but they did right by me. I don't know about being unethical--I'd say more incompetent. Been dealing with ALOT of incompetence lately myself-- is so annoying !!!!

@alohakz Another reason QVC needs to restructure their shipping charges.  You should get Free shipping at a certain point like almost all other retailers offer now. It may be a set limit of $50 (one of the kids clothing stores) or it might be $100 (Lands End I think, cannot recall and I just ordered from them too. lol).

Wow! I only shop at stores that offer free shipping and returns. Von Maur is  a wonderful store to buy from. Top notch service.

Can you please give the item number?  It's obviously an error.  $21.50 for shipping isn't possible.  If you can't cancel, give them time to fix it.

I would have immediately cancelled the order.  Then reorder the item using the code.  If it still does not work cancel again and live without it.

I requested to cancel the order with customer service and they said it was too far along.  I said I had just placed the order 5 minutes ago.  She said there was nothing that she could do,   I just had to wait until billing reviewed it.  It just amazes me their business practices.  The customer service has definitely gone by the wayside.

The order had 6 items in it.  I just thought there was a flash shipping event or I would have used the free shipping code on the website.

@schorsch  6 items so you probably got charged s/h for each item??  What retailer does that except QVC/HSN????  I only order when there is free shipping with no "code" required.

And Macy's, for example, gives 30 minutes to cancel an order.  I'm surprised QVC has stayed in business as long as it has but I'm sure there are many "loyal" customers.
