The denim part reminds me of High School and making a skirt out of a pair of jeans

I love it.  Every other year, there is a Denim&Diamonds fundraiser for local charities.  The women go all out with their embellished jeans, the diamonds and other good jewelry comes out to play.  This skirt would work beautifully for that event.  I think a good dressmaker could do something similar with an denim midi skirt.

This skirt is not a good look IMO. Looks sloppy, poorly sewn & constructed to me. The back with the overlapping crotch fabric is awful.

 

I don’t mind the other tulle skirts with denim shirts and jackets. They look more neat & pulled together. Not a look I would wear, but cute on others.
