The name of certain style tops

I see a lot of news women in them. The neck line is slanted,up on one side and slants down to the other. It almost looks if they were designed to hold a microphone. Can anyone help me?

@Kachina624 we have a rash of that going on here on our local news and weather, it drives me crazy. It also makes me want to scream when it is -2 degrees and the girls have on summer clothing. I know it should not bother me, but it does! As does the stringy hair clothing that is 2 sizes too small on the men as well as the women. Does it bother anyone else?

A lot of the newscasters in KC wear color blocked dresses made from knit fabrics. The colors are terrible. Often times the seams for the different colors are placed in the most unflattering places. The clothing I find the most atractive are jackets with matching skirts or slacks. The accessories are kept simple. The look is very professional and not at all distracting. I would really like to know who thought that color blocking was attractive on every shape. It's not and can be very distracting.

This angular neckline has been around for years. I like it.

We see the same on Boston news stations, plus the very long hair. They are all tall and thin, like Barbie dolls.

When did professional dress go by the wayside? I see them wearing dresses that I would have worn to dance clubs, back in the 80's. Many wear the very fitted dresses in a size too small, with creases all around the hip area.

If they even put a jacket over the dress, it would look more professional.
