 When did professional dress go by the wayside? I see them wearing dresses that I would have worn to dance clubs, back in the 80's. Many wear the very fitted dresses in a size too small, with creases all around the hip area.

 If they even put a jacket over the dress, it would look more professional.

The whole point on these shows (and Murdock's network) are to provide eye candy for the men, and keep male viewers tuned in.  This is nothing new.
