The Brooklyn Blonde decided to go to J Crew

[ Edited ]

Brooklyn Blonde is a fashion blogger.  She went to J Crew stores (who were having a sale) and tried on a variation of sweater and pants/jogger pants and outerwear that was on sale

I loved the little Sherpa jacket

@songbird  I'm not familiar with The Brooklyn Blonde, but quite familiar w/ J Crew. It's my go-to store/site for most of my clothing. I think once you know what store and brands fit well 90% of the time, stick w/ it. Of course, I wait for the times when there are deep discounts. I do stay away from the trendy prints/styles.

BTW, love her outfit choices.

You can call them Princess Pantaloons but they're still sweats!

They bring down the whole look to workout/casual even with the classic tops...

I really don’t like the look of these joggers. I would never wear them. Just not my style. The neutral ones are worse looking than the black ones. I agree with @Andreatoo the joggers really “bring down” the whole outfit. I keep thinking how much better the outfits would be with jeans or trousers. That’s my style. The coat and last outfit are ok.

I think she looks nice for walking and casual shopping, but the black outfit has to go.

The fur jacket with fluffy shoulders, black tights, and white masculine sneakers?  No.

Notice how she positioned her Chanel handbag to the camera so we could see the CC logo...intentionally adding "status" to her image.

I can't call her "blond" since her hair looks medium brown to me.

Except for the black outfit, I think she has given a lot of thought to these outfits and colors and they look great  on her.

She looks "cute" but none of what she is wearing would probably fit a 5'8 inch woman, nearly 5'9. The jacket is too skimpy in length. Same with the rest of it.

I do wear some of J Crew clothes when the inseams are long enough but if you are a very small size, the lengths tend to correspond to a petite woman, not my height.

That second outfit is strictly for the young. Although, I could wear it, doesn't mean a 67 year old woman should.

She's a Russian immigrant.  Loves clothes. And she lives in NY.  I think husband is a floor exchange stock broker, so she lives well.  When you do fashion blogging, in exchange for sometimes/discount clothes for free advertising.  The very successful ones rake in quite a lot of money.  It's very competitive business.  Tons of bloggers out there.  She's a Russian bottle blond. Her hair turned darker lately. I follow a few of them.

Of course she would have a Chanel bag.  They're valuable and have resale value.  My lawyer sister owns couple of Chanels and Pradas.  No D & B bags for her.

@songbird  Yes, I'd look silly dressed like that in my small college town, but in a large city when you get your clothes free for showing them off, another story for her. She's also a model (at least looks like one). Everyone's taste is different and I think the joggers are a nod to the "new casual" on every site, even ones who never sold leisure wear/lounge clothing before.
