Beautiful!

The sweater reminds me of a long-gone QVC vendor, Gabriella T.  She did those dreamy, light water-color florals.

@Witchy Woman

I just did a google image on her sweaters and found several for sale!  You should look!

Lord and Taylor use to carry his collection too before they closed.  RL always had nice collections.

Thanks for sharing everything is beautiful..

@ECBG

I'm surprised at how many of her sweaters are still out there.

And, as much as I loved them way back when, I can no longer wear sweaters.  Over the years, my skin became so sensitive, I have to be very careful what I put as a first layer.

I gave all of mine away long ago Cat Sad

Her items were very beautiful and I don't think I've seen anything like them in a long time.

Re: The Beauty OF Ralph Lauren

Yes Ralph Lauren always keeps it classic.

However @ECBG  he has so many lines from low end to the highest prices on a label that is definitely not sold at any Macy's.

His high end is called "PURPLE LABEL".  I've been to that store

in Bal Harbor, Fl and think there might be one in Palm Beach as well.

$$$$$ but so gorgeous. A blazer can run well over a thousand dollars in a pinch.  Not Macy's material.  They are not all that anymore.

Yes, Macy's has white marble flooring and is very nice depending on your area but they do not sell "high end" goods including handbags.  They might carry MCM.  I'm not sure.

Yes!!! We have a beautiful mansion in Manhasset, New York that carry designs Ralph Lauren has actually designed. Macys carry designs that he may or may not have signed off on that his design team came up with. The Purple label is sold in Saks and looks nothing like anything posted @Pink123 .

Years ago I met Ralph Lauren. I wonder if he is aware of how his name is stamped on clothing he probably would not approve if he knew of it? My husband received a cotton Polo sweater as a gift that pilled something terrible...thrown out after one season.🥺 The "brand" is being watered down similar to Pierre Cardin back in the 70's.

HA, yes I agree @Trinity11 regarding anything "Ralph Lauren".

so many names it's hard to count.  Whatever they call it, it's really funny....there is one with a men's pullover with a HUGE RL label on the front, polo like.  So ridiculous.

I know the Manhassett store your talking about too.

Best.

Yes, I have the distinct feeling that he hasn't seen a great deal of what is being sold under his name @Pink123 . I was told by an associate at the New York store, he has an excellent design team but is not actively involved like he used to be. Thus some of the clunkers I have thought looked nothing like anything he designed in his heyday. I met him when he was introducing his Polo shirts for women..definitely after he launched his famous ties. It must have been 1972.

@Trinity11  Yes, your so right. I don't know what happen's behind the scenes but somehow the big American designers seem to fall by the wayside and sell themselves out? Hilfiger, a RL wannabe, Donna Karan,  Calvin Klein amonth many others all fell by the wayside as well.

I mentioned this before, I'm not sure if it was here but the only "couture" fashion house that is not a conglomerate is Chanel and Hermes.  The rest are Keurig Company, etc.  (I"m talking about handbags, clothing and NOT about makeup.

Those 2 are the only two standing. Ah....

One is more beautiful than the other.  I love them all.  Graceful, elegant.  The clothes just seem to flow with the body.
