Re: TSV..RUBY, EMERALD AND SAPPHIRE RINGS

The quality of the gemstones is consistent with the price. There are no high quality sapphires, rubies or emeralds that cost so little. They are fine if you just want a ring that you can say is genuine but other than that, they are flawed, inexpensive rubies, emeralds and sapphires.

In my opinion, you really do get what you pay for in gemstones. There are no so called bargains out there unless you purchase them on the secondary market where someone is desperate to sell..and needs the cash.

Re: TSV..RUBY, EMERALD AND SAPPHIRE RINGS

I learned a long time ago that real Emeralds and Rubies have inclusions.  I always thought all gem stones were clear, bright in color and so pretty.  The first time I saw a genuine Emerald it had the inclusions.  I thought it was fake and really pricey!!!  It turned out the birthstone and Mother's rings that we sold were not natural.  Natural is pricey and some have funny color.   Iam glad I was not the only one to see those inclusions.  They do look like you could see the inclusions with the naked eye. NO loupe needed.

Gee, the emerald looked pretty good to me.  Very bright and clear, in the scheme of things.

'More or less', 'Right or wrong', 'In general', and 'Just thinking out loud ' (as usual).

Re: TSV..RUBY, EMERALD AND SAPPHIRE RINGS

Just once I would like A+ stones, not stones that are set for mass retail.

I would hope one of these shopping channels would surprise us all and give us the "good stuff".

I know a lot buy for price but these shopping channels have the volume and would be able to get the good stuff at a reasonable price.

Not happy with dark sapphires, cloudy emeralds and sub par rubies.

I didn't get the ring but that OTO day price for the flower bracelet is what I've wanted from her in quite some time.  Didn't want to pay almost 500 for it.  What a steal of a price it is.  Got it and will take it to a jeweler for a different clasp.  Well worth the price I paid.  Couldn't believe they slashed the price so much on it.  Happy dance here.

That's what I was thinking when I saw the ring (briefly) this morning.  If those are good stones how is the price so low?

Not that I was going to buy it, but that's what I thought when I saw it.

I was relieved that the ring didn't appeal to me even if the price was lower.

I really liked the ruby, but as someone said, we've already been served this style before....

@BlingQueen022 That bracelet caught me eye too, but I hesitated because of the magnetic clasp. Thanks for the idea to have it changed. I didn't think abou that.

@wildcat fan  I haven't had too much trouble with magnetic clasps in bracelets, but I do have safety chains here to put on this or I can take it to a jeweler for a different clasp.  This bracelet was a bit more than half off.  I was thrilled to get it at this price.  If it doesn't work out I can always return it.  I have thirty days to decide.  I wouldn't have purchased it at all if it was only 100 off but this was a steal of price I couldn't pass up.
