I'm cleaning out my closet and need to know if sweater twinsets have completed this cycle or expect them to be popular this fall/winter? I have several, however, I didn't wear them once last winter. TIA, Lynn

If you're a "layering person", you probably won't need the twinsets anymore. (Matchy-matchy). I live in a climate where layering is the only practical thing to do. We don't have a prolonged cold season.

Thank you for replying, I really appreciate it. I think the reason I didn't wear them last year was I got hot wearing them, I'm not really sure. Thanks again! Lynn

I don't see people wearing the twin set look these days.

If you have a twin set that you love (color, fit, material) you could break up the set and wear the pieces separately. Wear the cardigan with a camisole of a different color; and wear the tank or shell by itself this summer.

I have two sets in my closet and they are staying here. I find them coming in handy in cooler weather when a coat or jacket is to much.

I would not get rid of the, just split the set and use each piece separately. You could expand your wardrobe this way also. I am always looking for a top to layer under a sweater or jacket. I bet you could come up with another way to wear them.

Talbots has had their Charming Cardi and Charming Shell line for a number of years now. I have 8 of each and mix and match them. The summer version is 3/4 sleeve and the winter version is long sleeve.

Love twinsets and would never stop wearing them. I also definitely split up sets.

This is great advice and ITA. I would just split them up and wear them different ways. Clothing is too expensive to just toss after a season. I love layering and I really get the mileage out of my clothing. I take good care of my clothing also, and I also get a lot of wear out of it. I spend too much money on my clothes to worry if it's still in style or not the next season. I just change things up a bit so it works for me, with different pieces to make it look updated.

I think in a business setting they are still a good professional look.
