I think if you have the whole cow girl look down this would be a feminine change.  Ever since I been watching Heartland and checking out how the girls dress, they are definitely cow girl look and I mean that in a nice way.  The hats, belt buckles, jeans, boots.

The sweater so reminds me of great (I thought) programming here called "Stitch in Time". Remember this ladies?  Nothing but fabulous sweaters of all sorts, colors, designs - fabulous!

This show offered button down cardis just like this with embroidery work, appliques. I really got into scooping up sweaters every time these shows were on. 

Man, they had some great shows offering all sorts of fabulous fashions from tons of great designers. Really miss the old QVC.
