Some of the ""summer fringe 2015"" pieces online are not the sort of things that would be worn by the average QVC suburban viewer.

For instance ...

This is definitely not for the shy! It is very dramatic. I fear if I were to wear it I might be mistaken for my neighbors puli dog that looks like this:

I have a red fringe suede jacket from the Q from years ago. Have often thought of wearing it again, but think I'm a bit too old for it now. It's still hanging there tho!!

I have a red suede fringe jacket that I think I bought at Coldwater Creek ... definitely not from QVC. I've had it about 8 or 10 years.

Weather is warming up here in NYC ... I'll probably be wearing it this week. Are you older than me? I'm 72.

I missed out on a Sharif red suede fringe jacket about five years ago, I think. It was gorgeous and I still think about the one that got away.

I wore my red fringe suede jacket from the Q yesterday (It snowed today) I wear it quite a few times each spring and fall. I always get compliments. I'll be 56 {#emotions_dlg.scared} next month.

Some fringe I like but I usually cut some length from it as I do not like to feel it swishing as I walk. (feels like I'm going through a car wash)

Fringe may be big this Spring, but I have seen it around a lot in the last two years. My DD has several pairs of adorable boots with fringe and a couple of purses. I have a two year old Carlos Santana purse and some shorter cowboy boots with fringe. Fringe can be fun!

Cute dog! I can imagine what the furniture and carpets look like with that much dog hair around. I have black velvet furniture ... it would be a horror!

The top picture? That's just a simple crochet mesh poncho with some appliques and long fringe! Really easy to make ... perhaps a week's worth of work even for a novice crocheter. I'm working on something similar.

Fringe would be a horror here in the spring and summer. It's so hot that the fringe would be sticking to your skin = legs, arms, whatever. Won't be buying any fringe now or later.

Kathleen, I so admire your abilities as a seamstress, knitter, crocheter and if I recall correctly, you even make jewelry. I have knit one sweater in my life with the help of my knitting mentor who could guide me when I hit a roadblock. Now, I just knit winter scarves that require little attention so I might be watching tv at the same time. {#emotions_dlg.blushing}

I know this is a huge invasion of your privacy, but I would love for you to post some of your creations. So if you ever feel compelled to share, I would be very interested!

I bought a Denim & Company red suede jacket with fringe probably 10 years ago. I usually wear it in the fall. I still get lots of compliments on it. I never thought about wearing it this time of year. Thanks for the idea. I am 67.
