We've had over 3" of rain here since yesterday, and my backyard is a swamp. My patio started to flood and the water was creeping up the foundation toward my patio door. I had to get out my free standing emergency pump and set it up on the patio so I could drain the water out to the front of the house down the driveway to the storm sewer.
Well, I don't have "wellies" or rubber boots, but I do have a couple pair of Sportos. I was standing in water over the top of my boots setting up my pump, and not even a tiny bit of water penetrated those boots. Woo Hoo. Until now, I've only worn them in snow and slush. I'm just totally impressed that they stayed dried even submerged in water!
