Sizing Difference Between Brands

It's amazing how inconsistent sizing is in Womens clothing. I tried on 2 sweaters size M from Loft that fit, a few t shirts from Macys size L a little bit but not worth returning and finally a Henley from American Eagle in size Large it was so tight you could see every rib. SMH what is a girl to do. I hate returns.

And...that is the EXACT reason I don't own even one dress.    They are either too small...or too big in one area or the other...     di

That's why I like shopping at QVC.  The sizing is pretty consistent across all the lines.  Once in awhile an item will vary but you have the garment measurements so you can pre-check every single purchase.

I almost never do a return due to sizing.

This is why I tend to buy most of my tops from qvc. Thr sizing when I order is consistent. Being disabled I can’t go returning stuff all the time.

@ccassaday Most things on qVC are not in my price range or a price range I choose to pay

Re: Sizing Difference Between Brands

'Still'....I don't understand measurements.

We are supposed to measure our waists at the smallest area.

Yet, most of the pant/jean waistbands sit across the models' tummy area.

(Which is a few inches below their smallest waistline area.)

Shouldn't we be measuring across our tummy area, not across our smallest waistline area ?

Oh, well.  I just 'guess' re: sizing.

I view the slim models and usually size up.

p.s.  I guess that's why I look for high-waisted pants/jeans.  So the waist band doesn't sit across my tummy.

Have a wonderful, comfortable as possible week ahead.

'More or less', 'Right or wrong', 'In general', and 'Just thinking out loud ' (as usual).
