It was cold last night (upper 30's) and I was happy to see some sunshine this morning. I made a quick trip to Meijers and bought 4 of the 6 bags of Brach's sugar free lemon drops they had hanging off the peg. I had to go to a different Meijer's because mine didn't have them (checked online and shopped my store). While I was there I bought another bottle of Caladryl and some probe covers. I call the probe covers 'cozies' for the thermometer. Didn't want to run out of those.
Drizzle started at around 3 pm and from what I understand, rain will get heavier and be with us until tomorrow night. They already have flood warnings up for those who live near lakes.
I was able to eat without lots of swelling or pain so there is something to the lemon drops. Still kind of sensitive and slight swelling but better than yesterday.
How you doing?

I posted just after you did, Bernie. So, I deleted my post.
I am happy you were able to get the lemon drops, etc., and were able to eat without much swelling or pain. Hope you don't have issues with the heavy rain, etc. I would certainly not enjoy your weather.
Here is what I had posted (with a few changes) --
Good Afternoon/Evening! Hope everyone is having a nice Sunday.
I read on FB that Jean had a very good day, and I hope that continues.
Our weather pleases me -- cool at night and warm in the day, but I know others much prefer cooler/cold weather. They are predicting cooler weather for Tuesday, but then back to warm.
I haven't ordered anything here despite the free S&H. Mainly because I don't need anything other some groceries and sundries that can wait. But, also because those few things on my wishlist went up enough in price to wipe out any savings due to the free S&H. Hope any of you who ordered are pleased.
Have a nice evening and sleep well. Please post if you have a chance.
Hugs,
Linda
P.S. I have added hard lemon candy to my grocery list just in case. It is really interesting that it works so well.

just curious....what is your issue that the lemon drops are helping.....

Bird Mama, we have had rain off and on all day. It's supposed to be nice on Wed and then a few days of rain. September spoiled me. Now I am hoping for Indian Summer. I can remember how fast the sour lemon candy cured my mom and I. I went into Walgreen's today and didn't think about getting a pkg of the sour lemon candy. That's next on my list.
Linda L, I usually ordered, T.I.P.S. nail polish remover every two years in February when it was free shipping. I looked up my last order and it was 02/19 & I am about to open the 2nd bottle soon. I used to be able to get it at the QvC store for $10 a bottle/no shpg. I am one that likes cool/cold weather for sleeping. I have slept in all week.
Nothing exciting going on here today I have a couple of lunch dates this week and a road trip on Tuesday.
I can't remember if any of you have gotten your Booster shot. That's my next goal. We got our flu shots 12 days ago.
Hugs to all of you.
Glenda

Hi @nana59 Yesterday, out of the blue, my right parotid gland swelled up when I was eating and then went back to normal. I think something got into my Stensen's duct and plugged it. In addition to the lemon drops (increases salivary gland production to flush gland out) I've been using warm compresses and massaging the area.

Birdmama---Thanks for the advice about the lemon drops. I'll have to add that to my grocery list. I do hope you feel better with that situation.

LindaLatte---Thanks for the update on Jean. I'm relieved to hear that she had a good day. I will keep her in my thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery
I only ordered one thing on free s&h day. I see to time my Christmas shopping and restocking inbetween these free days. Oh well, at least I got the items stocked in the house that I needed and the gift storage tub is almost complete. I'm not looking forward to my charge total but the plus will be the next two months of zero charges. Hopefully, it will work that way.
Our leaves started to turn so Fall is here "officialy" I'm still not ready to cover the a/c unit until it's cool for the entire day. We've had so much rain that everything needs to dry before covers so on.

Twinny70---Glad you had a few lunch dates and a road trip. This week looks like I'll be picking up prescriptions on multiple days. Ugh!! Not my first choice because I'd rather only make 1 or 2 trips to the pharmacy. They must all be up for renewal. I figure I'll do mini grocery shopping on the same days. Hopefully, I'll be able to get everything on my list. This week the list is full so it will be easier to accomplish it in multiple trips. I don't mind the shopping part but the putting away part seems to take awhile.
In our area they now require you make an appointment for the flu shot. That's new for this year.
