twinny70----So nice to see you posting.

Good Evening! Glad you posted Tadaki. Like you and Bernie, I can remember the very lean times when I was watching every penny. I remember going to the grocery store and trying to figure out (no small calculators in those days) how much I was adding to my cart. Sometimes, I would put an item at the end and ask that they wait and give me the total before adding it in. Also like Bernie, I still keep a budget and track my spending all these years later.
My parents had gone through the Depression, and I know my Dad's family -- four boys and a girl -- didn't have as much food as they wanted. My Dad never made a lot of money, but he was always generous with food. In fact, when my ex and I were going through tough financial times, we would go to my parents house every Sunday for dinner.
When my Dad passed, I started giving to a food bank and have given to them ever since. He had said that we have a lot of food in America, and no one should go hungry.
Hope we hear more from twinny.
I saw on FB that Barbara is off for her family reunion. Hope she has a great time.
Waves to Fressa, Bernie, Barbara, Susan, Glenda, Tadaki, and all of our posters and readers.
Sleep well everyone.
Hugs,
Linda
