The temps remain cold here, especially at night. I looked at the 7 day forecast and we're getting a heatwave - highs in the 20's next week.

Good Evening! That is some heat wave, Bernie. I'm so glad that this area is the exception to most of the country. The high temperature today was 72 degrees and mostly sunny. Still chilly in the morning, but the low tonight should be around 40 degrees.
Our "caregivers" group went to an early lunch today, and the parking lot and coffee shop were packed. The "winter visitors" are back in force. My friend said her son (Mike) who is my "handyman" was feeling better after the procedure he had in December, but that only lasted for a week to ten days. He is in a lot of pain and is scheduled to have surgery next month. Certainly hope that helps. And, my friend who had multiple procedures to help with her major tremors was not happy with the last one she had, so is going back to the neurologist next month. She may need another procedure or some reprogramming of her implanted device.
Later in the afternoon, I had my hair done -- my hairdresser said she was out for six days with the flu. I know that is very difficult for her since she is self-employed (rents a station in a salon) and only makes money if she works. I am happy with the cut and style.
Need to do my weekly financial review now.
Waves to Bernie, Fressa, Susan, and all of our posters and readers.
Hope everyone stays warm and sleeps well.
Hugs,
Linda

Good Morning! Hope all of you are doing okay. It looks so very cold in many areas, including places like Florida, Georgia, and the Carolinas which are not used to/prepared for this weather.
I checked with DD, and she said it is very cold in her area of SC, but they did not have too much snow. That is a relief. My oldest DGS and wife promised to call so they can wish the twins happy birthday.
Many of my Maryland friends are staying at home due to the extreme cold and ice. But, one whose birthday is today, flew down to Florida yesterday so that she could celebrate her birthday with her brother and wife.
Now is an excellent time to be in my area of southern Arizona.
I was surprised to see it is a free S&H day. Trying to resist purchasing something that I really do not need, but like.
Waves to all of our posters and readers.
Have a nice Sunday!
Hugs,
Linda

Good afternoon ladies, hope all is well
Bernie - Like you we are going to get a heatwave of the 20's next week. Can't wait! I am so over this weather, the worse part is, it is just starting.
Linda - Can you sent some heat this way? Right now I do wish I had a place in AZ. Glad to hear DD did not get much snow, eventhough, ice is just as much of a problem. Our roads are good here, but the snow will be piled up until June. I was at Tractor Supply yesterday and the clerk there said she was going to punch anyone who complains about the heat this summer.
Not much happening here, I do have to go out and fill birdfeeders. They are really downing the feed to keep warm. I did buy a new bee water feeder from Etsy today. It is suprising how many bees I get during the summer on it.
Well off to maybe do something constructive, and maybe not. Have a good afternoon everyone.

Hi all!
Glad to hear that everyone seems to have weathered the cold, ice and snow of the last week and a half. Here in southern Alabama we have had very low temps (for us), lows in the 20's with single digit windchills. Quite a departure from normal for us.
We're leaving end of this week for our cruise, so have been busy getting ready. Laundry, packing, shopping for things we need to take. Trying to be smart and not overpack, but that seems to be something I am incapable of. Every morning I add something else to the suitcase that I "need".
I got the packet of forms and instructions from the energy co-op to claim my mom's pay-out. It is quite involved. requiring notarized forms and copies of about 8 different docs from her estate. I have everything, but the paperwork is so voluminous that copying and mailing costs would eat away at the value of the check I stand to receive in December. Needless to say, I'm having second thoughts.
Hope you all have a. nice afternoon!

Groundhog day report: Phil in Pennsylvania and Woody in Michigan say 6 more weeks of winter.
On behalf of Glenda (for old time's sake) Jimmy in Wisconsin says early spring.
We'll see. We got snow today and it was easy to shovel.

Good Evening! Our weather was nice today -- it was 50 when I took my morning walk. And, it made it to the upper 70's this afternoon. They are predicting highs in the 70's all week -- maybe slightly cooler than today, but..... Hope those of you in the cold zone keep warm and safe.
I agree about ice, Susan. DD did not mention that being a problem, but I think she didn't go out yesterday.
Glad the snow wasn't difficult to shovel, Bernie.
It certainly sounds cold where you live SouthernFried. I watched some of the Kim Gravel show on Saturday, and she was talking about how ill-prepared they were for the snow in her area. No snow shovels, etc., etc. Enjoy your cruise. I have a similar issue with packing.
My friend who flew from Maryland to Florida for her birthday posted pictures on FB of her, her brother and sister-in-law wearing what looked like warm puffer jackets and other cold weather clothes. They were going to Disney World.
The Sheriff's Auxiliary was pretty busy today, which I enjoyed.
Waves to Susan, Fressa, SouthernFried, Bernie, and all of our posters and readers.
Hope everyone sleeps well.
Hugs,
Linda
