Good afternoon ladies, hope all is well.
Hope everyone had a nice Easter. We went to dinner at my mom's and the came home. We aren't the most exciting of people.
Linda - Please send some of your warmer weather this way. It has been snow flurries for the last two days and cold temps. We are supposed to hit 81 degrees this weekend. I am tired of the cold. I know Mother Nature does what she wants.
Bernie - Glad to hear your brakes work.. Around here people have no idea what those "Blinky Lights" are on their cars.
Fressa - Hope things are getting less crazy for you.
We have all the boxes opened and stuff out of them, but it still needs to find a home. This move was more crazy than I thought it would be (DH and I have two very different ideas of how to unpack). But we are almost done. We haven't put any pictures up yet, decided to wait until we are sure all the furniture is where we want it before putting holes in the wall.
Well off to make cornbread muffins, made chili lastnight so that is what is for supper tonight. Still trying to figure out how my stove works. Went from Electric to gas cooktop, and the oven runs a little hotter than mine. This is just another adventure.
Hope everyone has a great afternoon.

You've made great progress Susan @PAlady Chili and cornbread sound great. It's a windy 38 degrees here and I've seen a few snow flurries. Perfect weather for chili and cornbread.

Good Evening and thanks for getting us started, Susan. Glad you are unpacked, but sorry moving proved to be more crazy than expected. Glad your Easter was quiet.
DD is having a very difficult time just getting the house ready for sale (dealing with various contractors, etc.), but it should be up on the internet tomorrow afternoon. Plus, they have two appointments for people who are interested in seeing the house. Fingers crossed it sells quickly.
I certainly prefer warm/hot and dry weather to cold/wet (snow, ice, etc.) weather like many areas of the country are having. It was mostly cloudy here today, but it made it up to the low 90's. Due to the dry weather and high temperatures, there is concern about fires, and there are several in the State. Fortunately, no serious fires near where I live.
Glad your brakes worked well, Bernie. I had forgotten about your sister's birthday being on Easter. Happy you had a nice celebration.
Jean told me that her ECHO and Holter monitor is scheduled for April 28, which is sooner than she expected.
I didn't have any side effects to the second COVID booster except for a sore arm. Only five people came to the senior lunch program today -- a record low as far as I know. The director is going to try to distribute information and menus at various places around town in hopes more will attend. They have had newspaper articles, mentions on radio programs, etc., but things are slow in all of the area "congregate" lunch programs.
I made it to the gym and picked up the hospice mailings this afternoon. A record high of mailings today. Looking forward to a quiet day tomorrow.
Sleep well everyone!
Hugs,
Linda
