Shopaholics One Day At A Time - Thursday, April 26th

Good Morning, Ladies!  We are expecting another 90 degree plus day here, but right now it is 60 degrees, so my walk will be fine.  Again, it was still pretty warm when I was going to bed yesterday evening, but I held off with the AC through use of a fan and open window for a while.  One of my neighbors is part of a small group of musicians who get together one evening a week, and I thought I heard them singing -- "He has the whole world in his hands".  Pretty nice.

Glad to see you posting, Kathleen.  My feeling is that you have the job enough time to know that it just wasn't right for you.  Hope you enjoy your summer and exploring other possibilities/options.   Like someone else said, I hope you will be posting more here since we have missed you.

Hope Midnight is okay, Jean.  It is difficult for me to think that he is that old -- guess it shows how long we have been on this thread.

DH was not leaning yesterday, but he was a bit sleepy and not quite a smiley.  I found out that the young lady who has been with the newest resident (lady in a wheelchair) is her paid caregiver and will no longer be with her after Friday.  I'm sure it will be strange for both of them since she has been this lady's caregiver for 3 1/2 years.

After visiting DH, I took a trip up to COSTCO.  No perishables (not really needed and very hot), but I bought things like calcium pills, batteries, etc.  I purchased a top that I think will work very well for me.  It has short sleeves and looks a bit like a Susan Graver top but is Calvin Klein.   The price was right, and I have been looking for a top like this in blue (sort of a bright navy) to replace one that had worn out.   I like several of Susan's tops, but spending $50 plus and S&H is a turn-off.

My plan for the day is to go to the gym, out to lunch with a group of ladies from one of my "Newcomers" clubs, and then visit DH.  The hospice nurse should be there.

Have a nice day everyone, and please post if you have a chance.

Hugs,

Linda

Hi Linda @LindaLatte  Thanks for starting the thread today. It's currently 54 degrees here and the sun is shining.  The warmer temps and little bit of rain we've had has really greened up the grass.  Now it's starting to look like spring.

I received my Linea necklace set yesterday.  I knew going in that I would shorten the earrings and now that I have, I really like the set.

I think it's cool that one of your neighbors has a band that you could hear last night.  Also good that the band was singing a somewhat cheerful and soothing song.

Glad that you found your blue top at a reasonable price.  I don't know if it is because I wore a uniform in school (12 years) that was navy based or what - I have many blue tops.

Linda--Thank you for starting the thread. Your temps sound good to me. It is also good that when you open the windows that you can hear some good music as long as it is within reasonable limits.  It is great when you find a top that works well for you but is reasonably priced.

Bernie--I'm glad that the Linea jewelry works well for you. Also, it is great that it is finally beginning to look like Spring.

I worked today and when I came home, I was greeted by Midnight. He definnitely was not feeling well the past few days and had a incident of diarrhea last night. He now acts more normally and just ate some treats. I'll be keeping an eye on him.

He was 3 years old when I adopted him 12 years ago, and I've had few health problems with him except he does have to eat a special dry food I get at the vet which is Hills ID Prescription Digestive Care. I'm wondering if he ate something I had which caused problems for him.

I couldn't sleep well last night so I got up at one point and watched the Q. I liked the TSV but haven't bought it  yet as I'm still debating.

[ Edited ]

@KonaKat  I'm hoping that Midnight passed whatever it was that upset him and made him feel less than good. Better out than in, as I always say Woman Wink

Edited to correct first sentence.  I originally wrote it in broken English, lol.
