Good Evening! Hope the winds do not cause any problems, Fressa. I know you prefer the cold weather, so maybe it will feel better to you. It continues to be pretty warm/hot in the afternoons here, but chilly in the mornings. Pretty nice in my opinion.
Glad you were able to start on the wallpaper and still have some mint and honeysuckle. I ordered two pairs of the same pant, and agree with you. What colors did you order? I ordered navy and black solid in two sizes since I wasn't sure whether to order petite small or petite extra small. Both looked okay, but I decided to send back the small for extra small. The exchanged pair is supposed to arrive next week.
Tomorrow will be a busy day for me -- an OLLI Zoom class in the morning, Sheriff's Auxiliary in the afternoon, and a neighborhood Halloween Party after work. I ended up making mini chocolate chip muffins for the party.
Waves to Fressa, Bernie, Susan, Barbara, Glenda (please write when you can), and all of our posters and readers.
Sleep well everyone!
Hugs,
Linda

LindaLatte---I ordered the off white color (I forget what they called it and the walnut (I think that's what it's called.) don't have anythi;ng in those two colors so I thought I should have another color other than navy...LOL
The mini muffins sound so good. Your OLLI zoom classes always sound interesting to me. Enjoy.

Good afternoon ladies, hope all is well.
Linda - I am sorry to hear your doctor is closing the office near you. I do like my doctors office being close to where I live. Hope you have success finding a new doctor. Is she still going to practice but the office is just no near you or is she not practicing anymore?
Like Jean, some of the leaves here are just turning brown and dropping, but some are changing colors. It just is not as brillant and years before.
Fressa - Good luck with the wallpaper peeling. I used to have to do that in our old house, the walls were so messed up from the past wallpaper it was just easier to put up new stuff. I was going to try to fix the walls and paint, but, I figured out I would have to replace the drywall for it to work. Did I ever tell you how much I hate doing drywall.
DH is home, he spent two days in the hospital, and we both ended up with really crappy colds. Still stuffed up and chest congestion, but feeling so much better. Of course the doctors official diagnosis was: You caught a strange bug in Scotland. So guess that is better than what it could have been. Trying to catch up on all the stuff I let go the last week or so, boy do I have a mess here. I am also trying to decide how much Halloween candy and treats I am keeping and how much is going to be donated to the troops. I have to talk DH into getting rid of most of it. Wish me luck.
Not much more happening, I do have to get back to my messes.
Have a good afternoon everyone.

Good Afternoon/Evening! Glad you and your DH are better, Susan. But, I can certainly relate to the mess, etc. after needing to take care of your health.
The doctor is still practicing, just not in my area. I only go to doctors elsewhere if it is absolutely necessary.
We continue to have chilly nights and warm/hot afternoons. No rain is predicted, and we sure could use some.
As predicted, yesterday was busy. The neighborhood Halloween party was great -- lot of fun, and I met some new neighbors as well as connected with others I know. Today was a ladies luncheon -- it was much longer than I would have liked, but it was better than the one we had last spring.
The food today was pretty nice -- very large salads, and we were able to chose ingredients (so I could avoid the meat). I was very happy that one of my neighbors asked me to sit at a table that included another neighbor. There was also ladies who are new to the area and wanted information about places to visit, etc. Having lived here for quite a while, I was able to help answer some of their questions.
There is always a charity presentation, and this one was quite interesting -- a women's homeless shelter in Tucson. I had not heard about them before, and they received a donation (50/50 raffle tickets).
.
The downside is that I could not finish my laundry before I went to the luncheon or work on my weekly financial review, so I am running way behind.
Waves to Susan, Fressa, Bernie, Barbara, Glenda, and all of our posters and readers.
Hope everyone sleeps well.
Hugs,
Linda
P.S. My grandson's wife posted Halloween pictures of my great grandchildren, and they were so cute. They wore matching duck costumes.

PALady---Glad you and your husband are feeling a bit better from your illness. I agree with your opinion about the wall surface work and repair. Most of our walls are plaster which is a challenge for us. We do have a few other rooms that are drywall, panelling, etc. What a pain. I do hope that this is my last time around with wallpaper removal. I'm getting too old for this stuff. LOL!!! I sure hope I can be done before Christmas so cross your fingers for me.
The Haloween trick or treaters have been very few these last few years. The neighbors still decorate like crazy so I enjoy seeing those. I'vr been trying to scale back a bit for all the hlolidays but still like the look.
Have a good afternoon.

LindaLatte---How nice to see the pictures of your great grandsons in costumes! Little ones are just adorable!
So nice to hear that the luncheon was enjoyable. Once in a while it's nice to be behind schedule because of fun and not a "surprise". Our weather has been cloudy and cool for most of the week. The furnace is clicking on closer to dinner time than bedtime these last few days. I still haven't changed the temperature setting on the thermostat but I'm guessing that will change in the next week or two.
Have a good afternoon.

Good Afternoon! Since Arizona does not observe DST and most areas do, we are now only two hours behind "Q" time, so the TSV presentation is at 10 rather than 9, and several television programs (not all) are on later than during the summer months.
It was nice and cool on my walk this morning, but we are expecting a high of 90 degrees today. The house does not get that warm, so the AC has not been running lately. I think that I will turn it off for a while.
Jean messaged me that she has scheduled a cruise from Tampa to Mexico in March. She is taking a friend who has helped her a lot lately, and got a substantial discount on a balcony room using her airline points. I am really hope she is able to take the trip and enjoys it.
I have a bunch of ironing and cooking to do today. But, I am not working at the Sheriff's Auxiliary tomorrow (too many volunteers), so I can do more housework tomorrow if necessary.
Waves to Fressa, Susan, Bernie, Barbara, Glenda, and all of our posters and readers.
Hope everyone sleeps well.
Hugs,
Linda
P.S. The food bank volunteer official affiliated with my church announced that they had a record number of visitors yesterday and may have to add an additional day for pick-ups. Very difficult situation for many in the area.
