Good morning, ladies. We got home from our vacation on Tuesday afternoon, but went to the gym and Walmart yesterday as well as open mic night last night. Today, we just have the gym, Safeway, and the library. We still have some laundry to catch up on, but we did wash while were were away, so its not too bad. I'm looking forward to the free afternoon and evening.

Vacation was so weird for us since our plans kept changing. We ended up staying in Flagstaff, Arizona most of the time once we realized that Lake Powell was also closed, just like Zion and Bryce Canyon National parks. It was kind of nice and relaxing staying in one place for a whole week though. Our room was even big enough that we were able to put EVERYTHING away and not live out of suitcases. We did some hiking (and yes ran into a naked dude) as well as a super fun obstacle/ropes course in the trees. We saw Gravity, played some NTN, and listened to music at a bar. We'll definitely need to take more lower key vacations like this! Needless to say, I haven't done much shopping lately, though I did have a black down vest waiting for me when I returned home. Our roof is finally finished too and looks wonderful. We got new skylights put in, and it looks like there's no glass there. Makes me realize how horrible the rest of our windows look. That's our next project, but it'll probably have to wait for warmer weather. Ugh.

I'm not sure what we're eating today, except I did pull some smoked chicken from the freezer. We'll see what I bring home from the grocery store. I need to eat simple and clean for a while now because I gained a couple pounds on vacation as usual. Its SO darn easy to gain weight and so hard to lose it nowadays, and that's even with trying to be careful and exercising as usual. Oh, well. Guess we could have worse problems.

Linda, I was sorry to hear about your DH's diagnosis, but also happy to hear that you both were in better spirits and just taking it one day at a time. One day at a time is such a help in life, isn't it.

Kathleen, hope you get back to your normal self soon. Being sick stinks!

Well, I hope you all have a great day. Good to be back in your company=)
