@Tinkrbl44 There was an actress, think her name was Christina Ferrera, and she gained weight and had all her style people cut out the size tags and replace them with size 6's (which was considered very tiny at that time. We're talking the 80's here).

When I used to buy my clothes at QVC I found I got into a lot smaller size than I usually take. They're clothing runs awfully big. They definitely have vanity sizing.

I know this post is old and probably been beaten to death.  But it reminded me of a situation ages ago.

I was in a shoe store and the lady in front of me was trying on a shoe.  She said it fit perfectly, felt very comfortable and looked good.  Then she noticed it was a size 8 and she wore a 7.

The clerk told her they were out of size 7 and this was her only choice.  She was adamant that she wore a size 7.  The lady would not buy the shoes because they were a size too large.

Moral of the story repose like what they like even if it does not look good and you can't change their mind.

@Susan345  yes this is an older post, and cruelly beaten to death. Love the story tho. I have known women, and a man who was like that!   That said, television is really deceiving on sizes, it adds 10-15 lbs easy. I hate it.  One, and if the wrong camera is on you...you are dead  meat, no kidding . I don't watch tv, I buy online.  I have seen her videos when looking tho.  Tightness could be camera angle, or she just wears clothes tight. I have a friend who wears smaller clothes, not so much about size, she says she hates them hanging on her.  I am thinking, well, I have another opinion on what' hanging clothes might look like. As far as size she could be xs, qvc runs a size larger than BM

I am reminded of the "Friends" episode when Monica said that the camera adds ten pounds to a figure.  Two of the guys ask her how many cameras were on you.  I couldn't stop laughing.

@Magicrat . lol lol lol.  That is too funny , but true!  Isn't it funny how some people can be so vain about things like that.  You woukd think people would know that people could tell. lol. Yes, sizes were different back then.  I forget when the fashion changed the universal size code, but they changed the measurements , made them larger, but reduced numner size. Back in 60's and 70's size 12 womens was concider Ed the perfect size.  In vintage stores if you find them, they are about today's size 8-10.

@ID2  I have found that to be very true.  Each brand runs at least a whole size larger, and some almost two. Back in the 80's and 90's they seemed to run truer to size. I haven't bought clothes there for at least 10 years, except I did try some ME by Jenny Garth.  I am normally a med, or size 10.  I had to size down to size 6 in her pants.  That was unreal.

Shawn seems to be obsessed with what size she wears.  STOP already.  Who really cares?!?!?!?!?!?

I am thankful for the actual garment measurements because I would have a hard time telling what size to get based on what the hosts/models claim to be wearing.

It does make it harder to judge how the garment will look on me when I see someone who looks like my size claiming to be wearing 2 sizes smaller than I would order based on the garment measurements though.  Just sayin.

And that's really apparent when the host claiming to be so small is standing next to another host, who clearly looks much smaller, and claiming to be wearing the same size.  I guess I shouldn't believe my lying eyes.

Sizes have always been all over the place.  I remember buying a gorgeous formal dress that had a 24 inch waist (yes I once was that thin) and it was a size 12 - and this was early 90's.

I have always said I don't care what the size is - nobody sees the size tag (or shouldn't).  What they see is how it fits - and that's what I care about.

I don't know what size she wears.  I don't see her very often.  But lately, when I see her she seems thinner. So I'm guessing she's a 4 that could probably slip in a larger2,  I like her as a personality and seller.  I never watch the models as I'm thin and short.  So I watch the hosts.  If the host look fine in an outfit, it's OK for me.  I rarely if ever return clothes back to QVC.  I"m the same size as Katia, but more then a foot shorter.  So I can't relate to her or to Jamie either.  If a plus model is on, I draw a blank.  There is nothing to relate to.

On the whole I'm a XXS or sometimes a XS.  Depending on If I want something fitted or not. Most of clothing I fit into.  I may not get the color I want.  Today for example.  Kim was on and one sweater top I wanted was gone in seconds in every color both in size XXS and XS.  You have to scribble down the number because the info s  not printed and shown right away.  I have to fly to the site  to try to get it.   I only get roughly 30% of any thing QVC shows when Kim is on.  All the size 2 swoop down at the same time.  And if you're not fast enough.  You lose.  It happened so fast, I called cutomer service to ask if all sizes are purchased in equal amounts.

@songbird  I was interested ..in most brick and mortar stores do you wear a small ? Or Xsmall.?   Asking because I know the small sizes sell out because I have friends who wear store med, and have to get QVC small, as they run large.  My daughter who is a store small, has to get a QVC Xs, and there are times that is big.     So that's why I think the smaller sizes sell out. Cause they sure are gone quick my friend and daughter told me. Because so many meds and smalls have to size down in QVC clothes.  Sometimes they wait a few weeks, and it's back in stock or "as is" sale, due to returns.
