Re: Shadow Jacquard Jacket Is Up!

You might want to check the measurements for this one - I wear an XL in every Linea top and jacket I have (and I have plenty, lol), and according to the garment measurements, I needed a Large - that is what I ordered and am hoping I made the correct choice.

Re: Shadow Jacquard Jacket Is Up!

Thanks, Jewelie. I just hoped to the forum to see if anyone was sizing down in this jacket. I take a M in just about every Linea top and jacket, but I do have a small in the tweed jacket from the fall. Since this one isn't as fitted and has the drooped shoulders, I'm thinking the small will work. The only think about sizing down is the length.

Any one else sizing down?

I am in-between sizes - and I went to the smaller size.

Sammijo, I am not getting this jacket but looking at the measurements, I would have bought the Extra Small. My usual Small is too large for this style of jacket-- I would get the XS Chest is 41" on the XS.

Re: Shadow Jacquard Jacket Is Up!

Louis said on his blog that this jacket is a drop shoulder like the boucle topper and a similar shape. He said not to size down on that one, so I am not sure on this one. It is cut smaller than the boucle jacket by 2 or more inches all around already.

I'm between L and XL but reading the measurements I went for the L. Can't wait for this one.

I am going by the boule topper and not sizing down. Hope I am correct.....ordered the midnight blue. Can't wait to see it presented.

Re: Shadow Jacquard Jacket Is Up!

I stayed with my regular size. I have the boucle topper in my regular size and I love the fit. Louis said this fabric does not have drape and you can see in his pictures that it is structured and has a very specific shape. I don't think this is meant to be close fitting.

Re: Shadow Jacquard Jacket Is Up!

Louis just posted this regarding the fit of this jacket:

"This jacket has NO stretch so I would not recommend sizing down. If you own the topper and you are happy with the size that is what you should order this type of jacket looks better, IMO, larger rather then too skimpy."
