I just bought four items too. I had to get a new jean skirt. I outgrew my old Talbots one!!! I got three tops with paisley designs because I love paisley. The one top I wanted was sold out in all of the stores and online.

I love Talbots. Classic styles you will wear forever. I get sick of some things before they wear out!

Talbots has become the store that "you never pay full price"

I have shopped at Talbots for many years and find their quality is worth the price. They used to only have occasional sales, but now there seems to be sales all the time. I usually wait to purchase until there is a flash sale...last night they had a flash sale for 50% off three pieces. On the opposite spectrum, Chico's used to have sales often and now they rarely do. I try to mainly shop sales...more bang for my buck. I do get free shipping from both places which is an enticement for me.

talbots has now become VERY hit or miss for me and i am not buying nearly as much.

i occasionally find items that i like or that i know my daughter will like, but much of it is overpriced (unless you have a good coupon) or too  conservative. my daughter likes their charming cardigans sometimes.

i find JJILL to be of better quality and selection overall, although their color choices could be better. i am tired of muted colors or pastels.
