"Coastal grandma" to Eclectic Grandpa"? Is someone paid money just to think up strange terms? There will be another term by the end of 2024.

Thank you for the pictures!
Other than the Katie Holmes' outfit, I can't see myself in anything else.
I do love wide leg pants, for several reasons they are the only pants I wear. So, I guess I will be out of fashion soon!

I haven't seen one item I'm even mildly interested in.
The Hollywood bunch wear items close to straight runway. When styles hit mainstream retail, they're much more wearable.
The over sized look is dying out. There will be some hybrid looks.
I don't feel baby doll items are flattering in the least. I don't think I would wear that and expect to be respected as a woman, and I have seen it on a woman older than half this board.
They don't hide pounds; extra fabric always add visual weight.
I have seen these with Alegria Mary Janes. It was hard to look at!
The "Preppy Aesthetic" The white fabric is too soft suggesting pajamas.
These items wouldn't hardly sell where I live except extremely sparingly.

I am glad I have alway had a sense of what I like in the way of clothing and what I feel good in and that is what counts. Never felt the need to follow 'fashion' or 'trends' as they come and go.
I know what I like and that it what I wear regardless of what is 'in'. Of course I have bought clothes that were in fashion not because they were the trend but because I liked them.
For instance, one trend I really liked and looked good in (in my mind at least) was bell bottom pants; another would have been sheath dresses. Trendy but that is not why I bought them.
A trend I never did and still do not like is jeans. Dont wear them; never did.
If these fashion pictures are the new trend I am going to save alot of money because I don't like any of them. This is my view on trends and fashion.

Nothing shown in those photos appealed to me. I don't even see them as "fashion", just chothes thrown together at the last minute.

No offense but I don't like any of these fashions.

Thanks for posting all these. To me fashion is to have fun with, and I don't take it too seriously.
I get in the mood for preppy every now and then. I still have some IZOD polo shirts from way back when that I can dig out .....if I want to make the effort.
I like the idea of quiet luxury. The picture looks good to me but more because of the model than the outfit.
And I know I have a Grandpa cardigan or two somewhere in all my old clothing containers. I like the one pictured.

To each his own.........

I've always liked the 'Preppie' style.
Lots of vests, crisp shirts underneath, etc.
I still have a few wool vests from old BFs' dads and grandfathers.
'Trouble is' that, now-a-days' they seem to itch my newly sensitive skin, even through shirts underneath.
Anyway, thanks for reminding me to web search for new vests to order.....maybe even an argyle patterned vest or two.

P.S. Btw, 'Preppie' is also spelled 'Preppy'. I like 'Preppy' better !
Too lazy to correct my previous post.
