Good Morning/Afternoon! It was a bit warmer this morning (33 degrees rather than 31), but still cold enough to discourage my usual early morning walk. That may happen later when it warms up. I was not surprised that yesterday's weather set records, but I was surprised to learn that we will be having quite a warm up with highs in the 80's starting tomorrow, and upper 80's for Sunday.
I tried out my new furnace by turning on the heat for a little while yesterday, and all seems fine with it. And, I ended up putting on my blanket last night, and it was very comfortable.
I have a hair appointment today (no shampoo, etc., but a cut), and I also have yoga class. Since I made the hair appointment before I was able to join the yoga class, I will need to miss a good bit of the class today. It is recorded so I could always go back to watch the rest of the class.
My youngest DGS works in an office where no one wears masks, etc. (against the rules in Maryland), and the child of one of the employees has COVID, so DGS needs to be in quarantine for a while. Since DGD is still not back to good health, he will be staying at his brother's apartment (the middle guy) rather than with his parents and sister. What a mess. Hopefully, he will not get COVID. I think he plans to suggest that everyone go back to working from home and have the office thoroughly cleaned before they return. Hope his bosses agree.
That was some story about the skunk, Bernie. Hope you avoid being sprayed.
I know Jean is having her car worked on today, plus seeing her audiologist. What are the rest of you doing today?
Waves to all of our posters and readers. Have a good day, and stay safe.
Hugs,
Linda

Hi Everyone!
It's rainy and cloudy (again) today. The temps are cool and drop near freezing at night. This weekend I will put the outside covers on and bring in the last of the gazing balls, etc. Today we are to have heavy rain storms from Hurricane Zeta (?) making it's path home. We're crossing our fingers the gutters can manage the water until we get the big ladders out this weekend. Thank heavens we did leaves and pine needles last weekend but more fell since then. UGH!!!
The garbage disposal broke two days ago. We been on a roll with this repair "stuff". Well, yesterday I got my "mini" tool kit and I think I fixed it. So far and crossing my fingers it's working. I only use it for citrus peels so I was stumped as to what jammed. I think it just got clogged under one blade and that blocked the wheel. I couldn't see any damage so I'm hoping it's fine now.
I do have to pick up prescriptons and do some quick banking this afternoon. I have some tasks to handle if I have time. I did manage to get an order in for dog grooming supplies and a few replacement toys. The Petco website always gives me problems so I'm hoping it's my full order and hasn't been duplicated or shorted. It's always a surprise. I was surprised that I couldn't find mediurm or large size Christmas toys for them. I must have missed a sale. Who knew that could happen? LOL
Hope everyone has a good afternoon/evening.

Linda--Thank you for starting the thread. The temp when I got up this morning was around 15 degrees higher than your attempted walking temperature. Sorry to hear that DGS is affected by the virus. Those quarantine rules vary so much depending upon interpretation.
Fressa--We are going to have up to 2 inches of rain from Zeta also but the Louisiana area has had more than its share of hurriicane hits this year. I do hope the rain doesn't affect you too much and the gutters handle the downpour.
I had a car appointment and also one with the audiologist. The car had its routiine winter prep done and oil change. I had an issue with the trunk lid the past two weeks which finally ended up with the trunk lid not opening despite all my efforts. This is a rare event I guess as the heavy duty spring that controls the opening has to be ordered. I will be called when it arrives.
I was checking out this audiology practice as my previous hearing aids were not from audiologiists but hearing technicians. I got mine from Costco in Columbus where I will be going on Monday to have them re-program them. I was very impressed with the audiology practice and they gave me a copy of the hearing test results to share on Monday. I do believe that I will use this audiologist when I get my next hearing aids.
