I am trying again to post. For some reason, I could not do so earlier.
Glenda -- I continue to pray for Declan and hope that your DH and his brothers are able to find a place for your MIL.
I've been extremely busy with the senior lunch program, hospice, etc. There are quite a few people sick around here, including my fellow volunteer at the lunch program, a couple that helps (and may miss their cruise), some out with COVID, colds, etc. Our county is back in the "high" COVID category. Not good.
The Wednesday volunteer (Fran) fell off a step ladder when she and her husband were hanging Christmas decorations, and she broke her hip. It was the first time she had been in the hospital since her children were born. I sure hope that I don't catch anything or have an accident. I do not believe Jean will be having surgery on her wrist, Bernie. If I learn differently, I will let you know.
I have myaudiologist and ear doctor appointment this afternoon.
Hope everyone has had a nice day, and please post if you have a chance.
Hugs,
Linda

Linda L, I hope you stay healthy and accident free.
I put the Fall things, away at 3:00 a.m. yesterday morning when I couldn't sleep. I started to put out a few Christmas things this morning and it looks good so far. I can remember the days when we put the tree together one branch at a time. Then we bought a tree from QVC & it was so much easier. Three pieces with lights attached. Now we are happy to not have a big tree.
It was so nice yesterday and today it's windy. We are supposed to be in the 50's in a few days, then colder and maybe a little bit of snow. My Snowmen are the first to get put out.
We went to the gym this afternoon and I asked the lady whom decorates 40 Christmas tree's how her decorating was going. She said she had 36 trees decorated, 4 to go & the worst part was the Christmas Village as each piece is in a separate box. Then she asked me if I wanted to see it. Of course I said YES when it's all done.
I think we are going to have a finger foods get together at 2:00 p.m. on the 17th of December instead of lunch time. Christopher has an exam at noon that day and graduates from college on December 18th.
We need to go shopping soon. We have been given a list of things that Christopher needs as he will be setting up housekeeping soon in the Twin Cities & needs to dress business casual. Andrew likes clothes & books & is easy to buy for. Emily is harder to buy for. I won't buy her holey jeans. She is an avid reader which is a good thing.
Hugs to all of you.

twinny70--I've had trouble posting the last two days. Not sure if anything posted or if it posted twice on one day. Hopefully, the problem is fixed. Crossing fingers.

I'm sort of glad it wasn't just me who had trouble posting. I was concerned that something was wrong with my connection.
My audiologist/ear doctors appointments yesterday were very good. First, the audiologist saw the battery problem with one of the hearing aids, and she is sending it off to be repaired. No charge since it is under warranty. We also discussed the new OTC hearing aids that are coming out. I am considering purchasing some for when I travel.
For the first time ever, the doctor provided me with copies of my hearing test results for this year and last year. He also told me that my ear drums (I have had three operations on them) were very perforated, and that he felt nothing could be done to help them (more surgery was likely to hurt rather than help). He also explained that my hearing loss was at the low and high ends of sound, and that it hadn't changed much in the past year.
There were lots of people in the waiting room, and I know they are very busy since most (perhaps all) of the doctors only come to our area one day a week and there are lots of allergy patients as well as those with ear problems.
I plan to go to the grocery store(s) this morning. Not sure if the hospice supplies will be ready today or not. If so, I will be doing deliveries this afternoon.
Good luck with your Christmas shopping and holiday celebration plans, Glenda. Hope you are feeling okay, Fressa.
Waves to all of our posters and readers. Have a nice evening.
Hugs,
Linda
