Re: SHOPAHOLICS: ONE DAY AT A TIME (WEDNESDAY, 3/25)

Kathleen, Are you off early for the weekend, or just DH getting away sooner? I'm glad you were able to get your set before they sold out. Enjoy your time at home.

Jean, I don't get this motivated too often anymore, so I take advantage of anytime this energy comes along. It's about time the organizing is complete, as it's taken us so long. It's a pleasure to finally be finished! The Miss Minimalist blog was a huge help to flush out the last remaining things that just didn't need to be here. I read her blog for awhile last night, and just feel relieved now, as well as lighter.

I was busted by DH while cleaning the cabinet over the stove. lol He always gets up later than I do, but of course got up earlier today! He knows he can relax now, and not worry about my needing to climb on things to reach anymore. I'm glad it's done as my back and legs have had it for today. pinky

Good morning ladies:

Jean: glad you are progressing. We do have opportunities for medical care that was unheard of only a few years ago. Wishing you the best.

Kathleen: Oh the flowers are popping out---spring in Central TX!!!

Linda: I have trouble with electronics also. Had my printer malfunction last month. Fella told me what to do and I was surprised that it worked!.

Re: SHOPAHOLICS: ONE DAY AT A TIME (WEDNESDAY, 3/25)

Hello Ladies.....Happy to hear you had no problems this morning Jean and that is done. You have a lot of people caring here and on FB about you and send good thoughts and prayers your way. I am glad to hear that Lisa Mason is coming back..as a host or a vendor I wonder. I know I used to see her doing that toothpaste sales and I had read about her husband..I do hope he is improving . So sorry to hear about your niece too....she is at peace now and prayers for her family.

LindaL I also have trouble with anything electronics and usually one of my kids can help out when they come. Our weather hasn't been bad past few days but we are expecting rain all day tomorrow.....good for the snow to be washed away!

Kathleen I received the beach bracelet from Macy's and I had forgot I had ordered the 'paw' one too.....I do like them. I noticed they are on sale again...not sure of the anchor set you bought, was it at Macy's too? Have a nie weekend at your country home.

You sure were a busy beaver this morning Pinky . You can come here anytime and declutter....I think Susan has you first though.

Rosa pets are a big responsibility but also a big part of our life. I always felt bad when we went away and had to take our dog to the 'spa'....(.they don't call them kennels anymore at least around here) and they charge big for use of the 'spa' word LOL ...she liked it I think...but still...

No much here a Yankee pre season game will be coming on TV so I'll be checking that out this afternoon. Oh big news...for me at least.......I saw my first Robin this morning when I was out.....so at least the warm weather will be coming!

Have a nice afternoon everyone...Marijane

Linda I was thinking about you this morning. I saw bluebonnets all over my yard. They looked scraggly but they were there.

Marijane you are right, Jean has a lot of loved ones here. I only got the Macy's anchor set, but wanted a couple more. They had 2 cross ones that I liked, one was $55 and the other on sale. I did not order more. yet. hee hee Maybe the paw one too.

Re: SHOPAHOLICS: ONE DAY AT A TIME (WEDNESDAY, 3/25)

Hi girls! It's another gorgeous day out there - 75°, bright and sunny. I do have a lot to do around the house - including starting my "clothes swap" - but since it's supposed to rain tomorrow and I have an outing with a friend planned for Friday, I want to take the dogs out. Maybe I'll take a ride to Aldi - I'm out of roast beef for sandwiches. Yesterday we went to Publix; I had planned on getting just two things, but you know how that goes... {#emotions_dlg.rolleyes} They had a number of items on BOGO that would be good to send to the troops, and I got a box of Halo mandarin oranges as they were on sale. As a bonus, the kitties are loving the box they came in. {#emotions_dlg.laugh}

Jean, I'll continue to keep you in prayer; I also posted a prayer request for you on my board.

Rosa, yes, pets can be time-consuming....but they're so worth it! {#emotions_dlg.wub} The cats aren't too much trouble, as they're usually content to just snuggle with me (I have a couple on me right now) and they know that they'll get fed when they get fed so they don't demand feedings at a particular time, but some dogs are demanding. My Honeybun isn't (apart from begging food every time she sees me eating or even going to a cabinet or refrigerator), and Angelica likes to spend most of her time in her crate for some strange reason, but Autumn is something else! She adores her Kong balls, and would have me playing fetch with her for hours on end if she could. {#emotions_dlg.laugh} She's a sweet girl; I take her with me most places, as she likes to ride in the car and sleeps if I'd doing something time-consuming so I'm OK with leaving her in it.

Pinky, my top kitchen cabinet shelves are so high there's no getting to them without a stepladder; I had to get one to keep in the kitchen. I just put stuff I don't use often up there.

LindaL, you sure do keep busy!

Does anyone know what happened with Lisa Mason's husband? Last I heard he was very sick - brain cancer, I think.

Guess I should get dressed and be on my way. Have a blessed day, everyone!

Re: SHOPAHOLICS: ONE DAY AT A TIME (WEDNESDAY, 3/25)

Hello All,

Wow, is it already Wednesday? We have had great weather here this week. Tax return filed this week so finally able to check that box off on the to do list. Today, I took some more things into the resale shop. As I have probably mentioned before, they only allow you to bring in 6 items a week. I am not really sure why this rule exists but it can stretch out the downsizing of ones closet.

I have had multiple medical appts. over the last week. Actually, myself and husband. I hope we are at a leveling off point.

Jean, so glad you have been freed from the foley. Also, sorry to hear about your niece. She did give it the good fight.

Well, I am actually watching some cooking stuff on Evine...I just can't get into the jewelry stuff on QVC.

I hope everyone has a great day!

Re: SHOPAHOLICS: ONE DAY AT A TIME (WEDNESDAY, 3/25)

Hi Gayle. Sorry I don't know about QF tunics since I haven't purchased QF items in a long time. I don't handwash many things, with the exception of bras and silk blouses. I usually put "handwash" items in the washing machine on gentle cycle, cold water, and then I hang them to dry. I haven't had a problem following this procedure except for a Bob Mackie silk blouse that I purchased many, many years ago. I think it was supposed to go to the dry cleaner. Lesson learned on that one.
