Linda @LindaLatte  which of you DH's friends passed away.  Is it the gentleman who sent you flowers?  If it wasn't I'm still sorry for your loss.

Birdmama----I ordered the solid tan and then I decided on the light grey. I thought that either of those colors would blend with the comforters that I had.   I actually surprised myself that the sheet supply needed some updating. I guess it's one of those things that gets pushed aside with everything else going on.  I had ordered a set of light blue sheets from Home Reflections and they are pretty to see but haven't worn well. I usually donate the donation sheets and towels to the animal shelter in the area. 

I hope you are finding some peace as each day passes. Pet moms are so special with all the care they give to these precious creatures.

Good Afternoon!  Those sheets were very tempting to me, Fressa.  But, I have managed to resist so far since the ones I have are fairly new and still okay.  If I do move to an apartment, I will probably downsize to a "full size" bed rather than the Queen I have now.  Not that I am planning to move anytime soon, but.....

Hope your weather is better today, and you are not suffering from migraines.  Glad they are predicting a short spring/summer for your area since that is what you prefer.  One of the ladies who called the Sheriff's Auxiliary yesterday told me that she was headed to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan for the summer, and the snow was still stacked high there.  She said that it was normal to have snow piles around at the end of April, this was a huge amount according to her daughter.

This was a different friend of my husband, Bernie.  Quite different personalities -- this one (Charles) was extremely hyper -- worked all the time, etc. (carried three cell phones, etc.), but a lot more fun than the one who sends me the flowers (F).  The two guys didn't like one another a bit, and I think it is to DH's credit that they both seemed to be fond of him. 

I emailed DH's DD about Charles' death, and she emailed back that she was visiting her older daughter in Turkey.  Sounded like they were having a wonderful time. 

Our weather is pretty nice -- still cool in the mornings and pretty warm (80's) in the afternoons -- okay with me. 

This morning, a lady who is part of the "old FDA friends" group texted me when I was taking my walk to say she was in my area this morning and asking if we could meet for breakfast.  We did so, and had a nice visit. 

After my walk and before we met, I managed to drop off a couple of big bags to my favorite thrift store.  Good start for the day. 

I am still having some allergy issues (particularly my eyes), but much better today than yesterday or the day before.

Good Morning, I've been curious about Harbor Freight tool stores for years and I'm going to get a chance to shop one today.  I need to replace my kitchen faucet and will be buying a set of extra long screwdrivers.  My existing faucet is a Grohe model that has been discontinued and paying for replacement parts would be more expensive than replacing it with the Delta faucet that I ordered from home depot on Friday.

I didn't know that extra long screwdrivers existed until I watched the installation video for the faucet I ordered.  It makes sense because I will be under a double sink and trying to navigate j-pipes and plumbing connections to the disposal and dishwasher.

This should be fun.

Good Afternoon!  It is sunny and a bit cooler (highs in the 70's) expected today.  That would be fine if we were not having so much wind and dry weather.  No red flag warnings in the immediate area, but the winds are not helpful for my allergies.  Oh well.....

Church was fun, and I am planning to do some cooking, cleaning, and ironing this afternoon, in addition to going to the gym. 

Hope you enjoy your time at Harbor Freight, Bernie.  I went to one of their stores years ago and was pretty disappointed in what I perceived to be the quality of most of the tools -- seemed lightweight to me.  The prices were good.  Hope they have improved over the years, and you find the special tools you need for your latest DIY job.  

My "handyman" (friend's son) replaced my kitchen faucet for me a couple of years ago.  He took me to Home Depot so I could pick out what I wanted only to find that they had very few faucets on display, and offered no assistance.  Basically, they wanted you to find and order on-line.  The one I picked was okay, but not the faucet of my dreams LOL.

@LindaLatte I'm replacing a Grohe faucet that I spent $550 on 14 years ago.  It's a Eurodisc pull out faucet that has been discontinued and it's cheaper for me to buy and install a new faucet then to buy the replacement parts for the Grohe.

Pull down faucets are really popular now and I can't accommodate them because they are tall and I have a kitchen windowsill that would get in the way.  At this particular time of my life I just want a functional faucet that doesn't leak.  I can't install a traditional faucet because the sink has one hole and not three holes to allow for a mounting plate.

I purchased a stainless steel finish Delta pull out faucet that was the right height for the windowsill above the sink. I wouldn't say it was the faucet of my dreams either, lol.
