Hi Everyone!
I finally received the kids lists so yesterday was a marathon of internet shopping. I swear by the evening I was so confused with who wore a XL and who was a L I had a migrane. My grandson finally figured out what size of jeans he wheres now so that's my "fun" for this afternoon. NOT!! I had a short period of time where they all wanted cash and gift cards. I LOVED IT!!! I think the price of everything changed that and now it's items. (all basics)
I've watched some of the Q holiday shows but am determined not to purchase any thing else for myself until I'm finished with all the kids. I am enjoying my MukLuK slipper socks and my feet feel so much better. I'm glad I treated myself and stocked up when they were on sale.
Denim & Co had some tempting tops today but I just looked. I really like some of new pieces that they showed.
I still have cards to address and mail and grocery shopping to handle. Not sure if the cards are going to make it. I still have cards to purchase. I swear that I have not been this far behind in years.
Our kids got a new puppy. It's been 8 months since Clarice passed. She's a big girl and so sweet. (English mastiff and GSD) They are just thrilled.
Have a good afternoon/evening.

Good Afternoon and thanks for getting us started, Fressa. Guess I'm glad my family only wants money or gift cards. Buying items can be tiring and tricky unless they are very specific about what they want. Even then, there may be difficulty in finding the item. Hope you are able to get the tasks done in time for Christmas.
It was Jean who had problems with her eyeglasses. It happened to me a couple of years ago, but so far so good with this pair.
Congratulations to the kids on the new puppy. What is her name? Sounds like she will be eating quite a bit.
I managed to do my Christmas cards yesterday, and I mailed them this morning before I went to the senior lunch program. Whew! The lunch program was pretty busy, but very good.
Like you, I saw and liked some of the D&Co. items, but didn't order anything. I need to go through my closet again to find things to donate. So far, one pair of pants is all that is in the donation pile.
Next up is going to the gym.
Waves to all of our posters and readers. Hope everyone sleeps well.
Hugs,
Linda

Fressa, congrats on the new dog. Good luck with your Christmas shopping. We had a fun time Christmas shopping for our two dgs's. They both wear small so their things were easy to find. Plus our eldest dgs needed kitchen items which were plentiful everywhere. Our RX's are driving us crazy too.
I think that we have my dh's insulin strips and needles figured out. I got my 3 month mail order for my eye drops in the mail today and they are free. Thank goodness for a generic. Then I got a call from Express Scripts which is my RX company saying that I could refill my Xarelto for $411.00. After I looked at my rx's, I realized that I already have a 3 month so I cancelled it. Last week I went to our local pharmacy and got a tube of my Lidocaine for $4.15(generic) which used to be $15 A tube.
Linda L, your lunch program sounds nice. Our senior center has a lunch program, but we haven't been to it except for the Thanksgiving lunch and it was great.
Bird Mama, got snow? I was excited to get an inch of the White fluffy stuff a couple of days ago. It was wet and heavy and there are a lot of snowmen in the neighborhood. Now it's been raining so it's melting. It's supposed to be in the upper 49's tomorrow and colder for the weekend.
I did get a few Christmas gifts wrapped yesterday and one card written. Lol. I am only sending out 20 of them this year and hand write a message in all of them. It makes me sad to send a few of them to only one person as they lost their spouse in the last year or so. Not that we know him personally, but our favorite local TV meteorologist suddenly lost his wife over the weekend. He caught Covid a year ago and was on a ventilator and in the hospital a long time. Both in their 50's.
Tomorrow we are going to see our favorite little polka band.
Thursday is our grocery shopping day.
Friday is house cleaning day and getting ready for our Christmas afternoon finger foods on Saturday. Lots of excitement as Christopher graduates from the UW-Madison on Sunday morning.
The decorating is done & I like the extra lights here and there since it gets dark so early.
Hugs to all of you.

Jean and Linda L, sorry that you both lost a lens out of a new pair of glasses. I have never had a spare pair of glasses and have been lucky with them. My bil, was our eye Dr. for 40 years and retired last year. We have a new one and like him a lot.
Bird Mama, my Mom had macular degeneration so I get my eyes tested yearly except I had to wait a few extra months because of Covid 19 too. I have the field test in February. I am not crazy about that one.

LindaLatte---The kids named the puppy Belle. So pretty. She's sable color (like a Dennis Basso throw) They are so happy with her. She's potty training quickly which is always a nice surprise.

Hope you have your eyes checked soon, Bernie. Glad you are checking on your eyes regularly, Fressa.
One of my late Aunts and her husband had macular degeneration, so it has been on my radar for years. Lately, so many of my friends have that problem, including Bev. My eye doctor tests for that, cataracts, and glaucoma every year, and so far so good as far as the MD and glaucoma go. I have cataracts, but they don't require attention at this time.
Nice name for the puppy, Fressa. Glad the potty training is going quickly.
I woke up to 25 degrees this morning. I usually get out of bed quickly, but I decided to read for 30 minutes or so before getting up. We definitely had the hard freeze predicted, but my water pipes didn't freeze -- thank goodness. It is supposed to reach 50 degrees today, but go down to 26 tonight with more hard freeze warnings.
DD and my SIL are driving from SC to the DC area to attend a holiday party for his office. The office is paying for a hotel and mileage. I know that he isn't crazy about these parties, but it is pretty much obligatory. Hope that their drive and the party go well.
Waves to all of our posters and readers. Have a nice afternoon.
Hugs,
Linda

LindaLatte---That's nice to hear that DD and SIL accomodations are company paid. It takes a bit of the inconveince out of the night. I was never a "fan" of those functions but you have to make an appearance. Hopefully, the dinner will be good.
