Good morning, shoppig friends. Disaster, disaster! The California fires are still rampaging. Our prayers continue.

I also read some meds might be in short supply? Why? Apparently there are some major manufacturing sites in Puerto Rico, so some drugs such as those used in some heart disease may be in short supply on the mainland unless another manufacturer is found. I am on one of those, so I am keeping my fingers crossed. This is an example of a disaster elsewhere having a possible impact locally.

This may not be a disaster but my financial reserves might consider it as such. "Wanty" has been calling out to me. I need to start using questions such as "Do I have anything like that?" or "Do I really need that?" The biggie deals with visual stimulation. "If I had not seen that, would I have even considered purchasing it?"

Keurig? I have one but rarely use it. I remember getting it when I thought I would do decaf in the evenings when diagnosed with heart issues. It didn't take me long to discover that caffeine was not a trigger for me and that a pot of coffee was much cheaper than one cup made from the Keurig. Now, if you just have a cup in the mornng, it might be fine but I require a coffee infusion throughout the day.

I'm off to use my cycle.I'm not going out with the snow.  Have a great day. If you shop, shop wisely

Hello Ladies.....yes those fires out in California are still going strong...prayers for all who are in their paths.   it's sunny here in the low 20's and windy..we had about 6 inches of snow yesterday,,,the lawn service that cuts the grass in the summer also comes and plows our driveway in the winters so I heard them arounf 1.30 this morning clearing our driveway ..they also shovel our brick pathways to our front and side doors.  I am one who only has one cup of coffee in the mornings Jean,my husband drinks tea ,so I just have a small Mr Coffee 3 cup coffee maker for me.  I also have a bigger pot for when we have company etc.     My wanty has been in action lately, this morning I ordered a few items from JJill with 30% off entire order and free shipping.   I guess the Christmas shopping for others has finally gotten to me.

That's about all, I heard we may be getting more snow on Tuesday,I hope not, I have a hair apt and it being so near Christmas may be impossible to get another one for awhile.

Marijane--You are fortunate to have someone to take care of your driveway, etc when it snows Let's hope that the service isn't reequired much ths year. I do hope the projected snow doesn't keep you from getting your hair done. I have an apponnntment for Saturday for the 'works." Right now, the forecast looks favorable for my being able to keep it.

Good Morning/Afternoon and thanks for getting us started, Jean.  I'm adding my prayers for all those affected by the fires in CA, and all the firefighters.  I heard about the possible shortages of medical devices/products due to the disaster in Puerto Rico some time ago.  I was surprised that the island played such a key role in the medical field.  Really hope no one (particularly you) suffer due to the shortages.  I did hear that some hospitals are trying to conserve scarce supplies.

My wanty comes out this time of the year for sure.  Between a December birthday and Christmas, it is difficult for me to resist purchasing myself some treats.  I was thinking how much I use my Keurig.  It was a good purchase for me, despite my usual practice of drinking two cups of coffee in the morning.  I like having a variety of choices, and it is so fast and easy.  However, I do not need a replacement at this time so the TSV is an easy pass for me.

Yuck about the snow and cold weather.  It was warmer here this morning (about 50 degrees on my walk), and it should reach 70 today and next week.  Our only possible problem is high winds.

Hope you are able to make it to your hair appointment, Marijane.  Glad you have someone to clean off your driveway.

I'm back from church and headed to the gym soon.  I did manage to buy my Christmas cards yesterday, so I'm hoping to get those done this week.  Still debating what to make for the appetizer pot luck party tomorrow afternoon.  Need to get serious about that one.  I'll visit DH later this afternoon -- hope he will be as happy as yesterday.

Jean, I made a wanty purchase on Thursday.  After getting a cortisone shot in my big toe on Thursday & it hurting like H##l, I treated myself to a comfy pair of clogs at Boston Store.  They were also 50% off & feel wonderful.  I did a little bit e shopping & then went to Emily's band concert. My infusion was on Friday & I feel fabulous.

Marijane, I am disappointed that we got 3/4" of snow on Friday night.  The old Indian formula says we will get 26 snowstorms this winter.  Hopefully you will get to the salon.  This time of the year can be iffy.

Linda L, I am glad that your DH was smiling yesterday.  I have my Christmas cards, but haven't had time to write in them yet.  Christmas is coming way too fast.

I did a little bit of decorating, cleaning & decluttering last week.  I am no where ready to host Christmas yet.  Our dd will be providing sweet treat's again this year so I am lucky.  My sil will be bringing something with fresh fruits, so my job is the meat & potatoes & prizes for our after lunch games.

Linda--I would welcome your temperatures right now. It isn't only the possible snow of winter but the cold that affects the joints. You do such a great job of monitoring your purchases but a birthday around the Chriistmas season would definitely make "wanty" become active.

Twiinny--Great purchase on the boots at 50% off  I've been thinking of calling the ortho to get an appointment for a cortisone shot in my knee, It is just a brief pain to endure for great relief.

I spent the afternoon reading with Midnight curled up beside me. I think I have one more package to arrive from the Q and that will be it for a whlle (I hope). I haven't checked Amazon out for some time. I have some things in mind to purchase but there is no rush.
