Good morning, shopping friends. I am watching AM Style but trying to be good. I just received 2 pair of Clark shoes A224938 but I ordered them from Amazon paying less than the Q price. In addition shipping was free and were received 2 days after I ordered them. The fit is perfect but if I had to return them, the return cost would be zero.
Yesterday, when I returned from work I saw some bird seed on the ground under the feeder. Later that evening, I saw some birds using the feeder. It took time but they finally figured out that there was free food available for them.No colorful birds, however!
Have a great day. If you shop, shop wisely!

Hi Ladies...it's been a long time since I've posted, but I have been following. All is well in my little world during this crazy time, although we have had vacations and 3 weddings which have been cancelled or postponed. For a year that was crazy busy with events, the calendar became blank. We thank God we are all doing well, as we know many who have been horribly affected by the virus.
I have, like Bernie used some of the extra time to do some renovations in the house. Now, I am tackling my seasonal clothes changeover and working diligently to move out some of the excess. I am still a work in progress on clothing and shoes, as that is my weakness.
The Q has had little to tempt me, but Amazon and some other sites has become my go to...off to get moving. Hope you all have a wonderful day!!

Karen--It is so good to see you posting again. You have been missed. This has been a year of changes in lifestyle, plans and alternative activities. I believe all of us who have not been personally affected by contracting the virus have much for which to be thankful. Yes, we are all a work in progress; some days, we do better than others. Keep up the good work and also stay safe!

Hi Everyone!
I think Fall has officially arrived. The maple trees are starting to turn color. Today is to remain cool. YIPPEE!! We just finished our final draft of what projects are a "must" for this season before the winter arrives. Our list for next year is already full. LOL I don't think you are ever "done" but I would like to see some empty months on the list.
This morning my husband dismanteled the old wood/iron patio table and chairs, sawed up what he could and is now on his way to the scrap metal yard. I'm so relieved because it was starting to be a worry about termites. We've had two neighbors that had a termite or ant (serious) problem so I was getting nervous about any item that was "old" and outside.
Today, it's on line banking since the system was down yesterday. I am determined to get all the pumpkins from the storage tubs and upstairs. I'll place a few more items on the front porch but not as much as usual. I'm assuming that Halloween is cancelled in our state although there has been nothing offical...yet.
Yesterday I did a check of the freezers and paper supplies, etc. to see what we have and what we need. Now, I feel that good that my grocery list is up to date. I had to make another run to the store yesterday because the hubby was out of hair spray. UGH!!!
I did order the TSV yesterday because the hubby wanted one for the family room. It does get chilly down there if the fireplace isn't burning. I have my fingers crossed that this is the same quality as my older ones.
KomKat: I'm glad to see that the birds finally found your feeder. We still have the finches but I think the song birds and hummingbirds have gone south. The blue jays seem to still be around and the woodpeckers. Hope you see a few more each week.
Have a good afternoon/evening.

Fressa--Great job on getting that old patio table and chairs dismantled and on their way out of your life. It is such a convenence to bank and pay bills on line but it is an inconvenience when, for some reason, you can't do it when planned. Everyone should remember to do it before the due date just in case there is a website issue, etc.
Our leaves are turning earlier than expected but then the temperatures have been lower than usual. I hope this isn't a sign of a coming bad winter. At least, we have almost a month left to enjoy the light at the end of a work day. Yes, soon it will be "Hello Darkness My Old Friend." I saw that on FB but it is not a friend to me.
As soon as I finish this episode of "Away" on Netflix, I will be indulging in my afternoon of reading.

Good Morning/Afternoon and thanks for getting us started, Jean. Glad you are happy with your new shoes. I buy a lot of Clark's shoes -- too many, in fact. And, usually I order from Amazon for the same reasons you did. Happy some birds have found your feeder.
Very nice to see you posting again, Karen. Like you, I have excess clothing and shoes. I have been working on reducing the numbers, but there is a long way to go. Glad you and your family are healthy.
Happy your husband was able to get rid of the old patio table and chairs, Fressa. Or at least got them ready to go. I get so frustrated when I can't access my accounts on-line. Of course, you can't expect things to run smoothly all the time, but.... Glad your weather is nice and the leaves are changing colors.
I went through some of my cleaners and discovered some were quite low. Wish I figured that out before I went to the store on Thursday. Hopefully, they will last until next Thursday. I also found that I was low on my moisturizer, but managed to find a good price on Amazon.
I have not been able to find aerosol spray disinfectant in the stores for months, and the only time I saw the disinfectant wipes the price ($10.00 for a small package of 35), was so high that I did not purchase them. So, today I have been researching how to make your own wipes using Clorox. It doesn't look difficult, thank goodness.
I keep hearing about problems with the virus in Wisconsin -- sorry your State is having so many issues, Glenda.
It is supposed to make it to 99 degrees today, and we are expecting at least two more 100 degree days plus dry weather for at least the next week. Someone forgot to tell Mother Nature that it is October. I remember not liking coming home in the dark, Jean. Glad you have another month before that happens.
Waves to all of our posters and readers. Hope everyone stays safe and has a nice evening.
Hugs,
Linda
ETA -- I forgot to mention that the fleece sheets I ordered for two of my grandsons are finally in process (rather than advance order.)

I have been reading your posts, but I feel like I have been on a roller coaster all week. On Monday, after we were done at the gym, my DH went into Qwik Trip for bananas. One of my childhood friends works there & told him that there was an an ambulance at my 2nd cousins house. One of his sisters sent an email to all of us and said that he fell down his front porch steps and died that night. He was 81 years old and in failing health.
He lives in our hometown & his graveside service was late this morning. We went a little early to get a good parking spot. We stayed in the Subaru & couldn't hear anything, but his family are in our thoughts. My brother was there, so we had a nice chat with him
I haven't walked all week, but we went to the gym M-Th & did our Thursday morning grocery shopping. I stayed up TOO LATE on Thursday night watching TV so I was tired yesterday.
Last night we met Christopher & his Dad for a safe distancing fish fry. It was nice to see them again and Chris is doing well with college. He has one class in person and the rest are virtual. Our other two HS dgc are doing very well and it's all virtual for them.
I cleaned house good this morning. It's been a cool week and I am glad. I have been busy with lots of laundry. It's been drying so nice outside. Next on my laundry list is to wash & hang out my fleece coats/jackets. I have two dental appointments on Monday and on Tuesday, we hope to go on a road trip up Wausau. Rib Mtn. is very nice this time of the year. On Thursday, we are hoping to go on a road trip to La Crosse & drive down along the MIssissippi. No motels or dine in restaurants.
It's supposed to be 🌞🌞🌞 & nice all next week. Yippee.
The leaves are just starting to turn down here. It's my favorite time of the year. I had to cover up my two remaining tomato plants the last two nights, but we didn't get any frost.
Hugs to all of you.

Linda L, I forgot to say that the virus is not going anywhere right now. Our State and County are getting worse each day. My brother lives 22 miles S. of us in a different State and County and said as of tonight (I think) all restaurants in N. IL are closed. His youngest turned 18 yesterday and they were able to have a quick eat in supper with her on Thursday night. Her youngest brother turns 21 tomorrow, is away at college & can't join the family because of the virus.
Jean, I am glad that you are able to be teaching & have done a bit of shopping.
Bird Mama, nice purchases that you have made too.
fressa, you are staying busy too.
It's been an up and down week for my bff. Her DH is still at the PT NH unit. Some days, he doesn't know who she is, but yesterday she got a phone call from the facility saying that he wanted to talk to her. He talked so clear and made so much sense that she asked him what his last is was. She has had a lot of stomach issues from the stress etc. Hopefully nothing serious, but she is waiting for the Lab results.
Karen, it's good to see you posting again.

Linda--I haven't looked for disinfecting spray for some time, but it sounds like something I need to add to my list if it can be found. I also saw that my TSV sheets are in processd also.
Glenda--So sorry about the death. It is so hard at any time but made more difficult with the conditions imposed by the virus. We seem to be lucky at this point as our contagion rate is less than 3 percent. I know how much you enjoy Fall so I hope you are able to get out and enjoy it from the safety of your car.
