Good morning, shopping friends. It is a nippy day but next week's temps are supposed to be better.
When I got back from physical therapy in the city yesterday, I was wasted. It usually takes an hour to two hours for it really to kick in. They added more exercises yesterday without taking any away so the time involved was extended. When I got home, I had a sandwich and cup of coffee and hit the bed. I crawled out in time to see Hawaii 5-0 with heating pad on back. Afterwards, I did some reading and then went back to bed.
Midnight got me up at 2am, at which time I had a headache. I had a cup of coffee and turned on the TV to discover Bob Mackie was on so I spent an hour watching that before going back to bed.
Today, I feel fine but I am thinking of Monday when I have PT. Afterwards, I drive a half hour to pick up my niece and then spend two hours on the road to the airport city where we will spend the night before getting the early morning flight on Tuesday. Needlesss to say, I hope Monday's activities go well.
I liked the Basso faux leather jacket presented this morning. I have two of his faux leather jackets but the black one has been worn about three years so I decided the black one needed replaced with a new style. I would have liked it in berry also but I have one in wine from Basso that is only a year old so I couldn't justiffy another.
I may make a run back to the city to see the Dr. Strange movie today. Because of the distance, I usually see one of the matinees. Tomorrow will not be a good time to see the movie for two reasons: one, the time change will result in it getting dark by the time I get home and I don't want to play "dodge the deer." Two, I need to get my act together and get ready for the trip, one I'm still not eager to do because of all the activities and crunch time as a result. If it had been a car trip, it would have been cancelled. The only reason I am going back to the city today is that it is a trip that is not tied into appointments or other obligations. It is just "me time."
Have a great day. If you shop, shop wisely.

Jean , PT always exhausted me also. I went to bed early & woke up to see Bob Mackie. I always wanted s Dennis Basso coat back in the day. I need to take a look at his faux leather one. I really like my SG faux leather in black, but a different color would be fun. My BF 's DD hit a deer 2 days ago & has major damage to the front end of their very expensive brand new truck. Luckily no injuries. I don't like being on the roads sadly in the morning either. Your vacation sounds exciting to me right now. Have fun with your niece!
I slept in today & missed ams. I took my walk yesterday afternoon & only did 1/2 of my usual walk. I do better in the morning & was tired from 2 quick grocery store runs.
I have laundry out as it is sunny & will be in the 60's until the end of next week. Way above normal temps for sure.
I am taking my moped downtown for my walk soon. Will be back in time to fix lunch, hot tub & maybe get a nap in. DH is grilling steaks out tonight & then we are going to see Bill Haley Jr. & the Comets at out HS PAC. I always liked his dad, so it should be fun.
Potluck at church tomorrow & I have no idea what to take.
Hugs to all of you.

Twinny--That Basso faux leather jacket is on clearance and has great reviews. I like that the sleeves can be turned back if you have short arms.
Being tired can affect your normal exercise/walking. Deer can really do a lot of damage so I can understand your not wanting out in "deer time" also. Enjoy the concert tonight.
Today, I will decide the future of that IT holiday pallet of make up. Right now, the only things that appeal to me are the eyeshadows and blush. I wore the eyeshadow yesterday and I don't think it lasted long. For that reason, I am trying it again today. I know yesterday's didn't last as long as my Laura Geller shadow or even the Revlon.
I am out the door. Have a great day.

Morning All, Thanx @KonaKat for the start, good idea to have some me time, enjoy, then you'll be ready for your trip, keep us posted how it all goes
@meallen616, not sure I want to do that
@twinny70 had my laundry hanging out yesterday, got it all done & dried, unusual for this time of year but loving it. Enjoy the steaks, I was thinking the same thing
Beautiful weather again today, sunny & 70's, really weird.
Yesterday was also perfect for the Cubs parade, 5 million people attended, I watched on tv, that many would overwhelm me. It was a special time for our city, & the players gave all the credit to the fans, very special.
Waves & Hugs to all, have a great week-end

Good Morning @KonaKat Jean, I was tempted by the navy faux leather Basso jacket myself. Still haven't pulled the trigger.
I didn't have PT yesterday and the doctor thing wasted me anyway. I'd nibbled on a cupcake on Thursday night around 9:30 and figured I would fast for my bloodwork at the 11 am appointment. I rarely, if ever get the preventive screening bloodwork on the same day as the day I see the doctor because I tend to get evening appointments. I can't say I missed the food, I did miss my morning coffee though.
I had an 11am appointment, didn't get into the exam room until 12:15 and my blood wasn't drawn until 12:45. I kept looking at my watch because I had a 1:15 check in time for the mammogram.
The nurse drawing the blood was running near empty by the 4th vial, seriously my blood was coming out in slow motion. She looked at me and said you're dehydrated. I said, not counting coffee, I drink anywhere from 3-5 liters of water a day, how can I be dehydrated. I then told her I had been drinking water since I woke up and drank water on the way to the appointment. I said, maybe if he would have seen me at my appointment time until nearly 2 hours later, I would be less dehydrated, lol. I think they took too much blood - I didn't feel lightheaded, however when I was filling out paperwork to have the lab send me a copy of the results directly, I wrote my correct name and street address. I then wrote in Detroit for the city. I haven't lived in Detroit for 15 years (rolling my own eyes here). I caught it and fixed it.
I didn't have time for coffee in between appointments. The mammogram was a breeze. I had to do Pet Supplies Plus and Kmart after the mammo, so then I finally got my first cup of coffee around 2:30 pm and ate something around 3pm. I still wasn't hungry but I really needed to take my vitamins. Oh boy. Here's hoping the 3D mammo I took works out - I've had my fill of doctors for the year.
I really hope that when my time comes I drop like a rock out of the blue. I see my regular doctor once a year and see my endocrinologist once a year and seriously, that's almost too much for me.

Wow, I am so sorry you know someone that was in a deer/vehicle collision. I have to watch that around here too. I had the misfortune at the end of January this year to come upon a deer/car collision. Short of screaming, calling the cops and begging for them to come and put the animal out of it's misery I don't remember how I got home. Guess the car drove itself.

That's a dangerous little message you posted today. I just did that last week. I bought a dark cherry Born handbag from 6pm. I really did get a nice price, he he he

I'm so glad the weather was great for the Cubs parade. What an exciting time for Chicago :-)

Happy Saturday to all,
My husband drives 90 miles round trip 5-6 days a week for work. He drives after dark each day. He plays dodge the deer and the pigs nightly.
Three times now, there have been 4 large pigs walking in a line along the side of the highway. I asked him if the farmer is not aware or if the pig family likes to take nightly walks!
The deer are becoming scared with harvesting taking place and the fields where they hide are no longer filled with crops. He sees quite a few deer and is cautious. I pray every night when he is driving from work.
With hunting season starting sometime soon, I'm concerned that the deer will need all the help they can get to find shelter and hiding spots.
As far as the pigs go, maybe they have found a hole in the fence and enjoy the exercise!
Waves and hugs to each and everyone of you lovely ladies.
