SHOPAHOLICS ONE DAY AT A TIME (SATURDAY, DECEMBER 3rd)

Good Afternoon/Evening! Our weather isn't very nice today -- off and on rain and in the 50's. But, I certainly cannot complain since we need the rain, and it isn't too cold.

I have finished the laundry (except for ironing), changed the bedding, done an exercise DVD. Next up is my weekly financial review. I really enjoyed the neighborhood book club yesterday. Only three of us attended, but we had a lot to discuss (not just books).

I read that Desert Lily had a pretty bad reaction to her COVID booster. Hope she is feeling better, and I don't have that problem when I have mine on Monday.

One of DD's teeth broke off, and she cannot find a dentist today. For unknown reasons, the dentist they found in South Carolina suddenly closed the business. Anyway, she is having a little pain, but is probably more worried about the expense for the tooth. They don't have dental insurance.

Hope the weather is okay where you live, and everyone has had a nice day. Please post if you have a chance.

Hugs,

Linda

Hi Linda @LindaLatte

The wind was slamming against the back of the house when I awoke at 6:30 this morning. Our temps dropped from 52 to 26 in a matter of hours. Crazy weather for sure. Yea it sounds like the booster was working Desert Lily over. Considering how sick the first 4 shots made me I thought for sure the new booster was going to lay me out. What was different for me with the bivalent vaccine was that I felt spacey the next morning. Not dizzy or clumsy, just kind of out of it. I was functional but by noon I couldn't remember what I had done first thing in the morning - like the little details. It was weird.

I'm so sorry that your DD's tooth broke off - been there, done that except my tooth that cracked off had been root canaled (probably spelled that wrong) so I felt no pain. I'm sorry that she is uninsured because this is going to cost her.

There are times when you must speak, not because you are going to change the opposing side, but because if you do not speak, they have changed you.

Re: SHOPAHOLICS ONE DAY AT A TIME (SATURDAY, DECEMBER 3rd)

Good evening ladies, hope all is well.

Linda - Thank you for starting us today. Sorry about your weather, but, when you need rain you go along with it. We had some hard rain today and some wind, but the temps were not too cold. I had my booster a month ago and I did not have any problems. I had a sore spot where I got the shot (I hate needles, so I tense up), but that was about it. I did increase my water intake and took Tylenol for a couple days.

I am sorry about your daughter's tooth, I hope she can get it fixed Monday and with little expense. I don't have dental insurance so I feel her pain.

Bernie - I hope the weather got better for you. We have had pretty good luck with the weather, I am waiting for the other shoe to drop with it.

Jean - Hope you are feeling well and recouping quickly.

Not much is going on around here. I am going to get the Christmas decorations out tomorrow. I seem to be a little behind on the decorating this year. I just can not get motivated to do things.

Well, off to watch some things we recorded. Hope everyone has a great evening.
