Hi Everyone!
Our weather is more of the same.....Hot (for us),cooler at night and scattered rain. The forecast has more of the same for another week or more. UGH!!! It could always be worse and the plants (so far) seem to be tolerating it. I noticed that our patio umbrellas are showing signs of wear. I thought I just replaced them recently but I guess not. I really haven't seen patio umbrellas on the outdoor shows.
We gased up the Subaru Legacy the other day and our gas is down by 50cents a gallon. YIPPEE!! Crossing my fingers it holds or gets a little lower.
I finally tried on the D&C terry top and pedal pushers that I ordered. The fit on both is good. I'm really pleased with the pants. Now, I wish I would have ordered a second pair. Yet, you never know if it's the pant line or just this one color. I haven't purchased too much clothing this year so I don't know. I'm happy I ordered these nevertheless.
LindaLatte---Hope you continue to have pain relief in your back. Hope everyone else continues to improve in their health issues and pain relief.
Have a good afternoon/evening.

Good Afternoon! So glad you are happy with your order, Fressa. I rarely buy two of anything here just because I don't like doing returns or exchanges. If I really like the item, I usually wait for free S&H or sale to order another one.
Glad your gasoline prices are down.
It is sunny and warm/hot here today with a high of 92 degrees expected. Fortunately, it was nice and cool on my walk this morning. I have seen reports of bad weather in several parts of the country. Hope none of you have been affected.
Very long story, but I needed to get a cashier's check from the bank. I made an appointment for this morning, but was told that I could just go to the regular tellers. I lucked out because the bank was not crowded. It took some time for the clerk to print out the check, but not bad. Interesting because I rarely go into the bank, but the last time I did there was quite a long line. Guess it is due to our "winter visitors" going back to their other homes.
Then I visited with my former hospice patient and the hospice nurse stopped by while I was there. My patient was not doing that well, so didn't talk or open her eyes much. But, she did smile and chat a little.
No big plans for the rest of the day, but I hope to get some housework done.
Waves to Fressa, Barbara, Bernie, Glenda, Susan, and all of our posters and readers.
Hugs, Linda

Hello all, it's been a fairly uneventful week for me. I ordered the QVC big deal 'snug plug' things today. I've been curious about the brand even though I'm the type of person to just replace the electrical outlet, lol.
Weather has been up and down, dry and wet. A cool front is moving in and I look forward to it. I like having 4 seasons and I'm not ready for summer like weather just yet. The roofing supplies were dropped off on the first and second stories this morning - the roof gets replaced on Monday.
I got my new crown yesterday. It's funny I was not aware of the tooth with the old crown or the temporary - the new crown is on and I'm aware of the tooth because now it's a bit sensitive.
I was so excited when I heard the whisper chirp of new life in the white birdhouse last week Saturday. I think the sparrow couple is inexperienced and it appears that the clutch failed. I believe that she laid 4 eggs. Two were right by the opening of the birdhouse and she ignored them - they were going bag and I removed them today when I cleaned the gutters. I think they knocked one egg that they were incubating out of the house by accident mid-week. The birdhouse fell silent yesterday. There were no external factors like extreme temperatures or predation at play. This is not the norm however I have seen something like this a couple of times over 25 years; it makes me sad.
I'm glad that Jean's appeal was successful.
Linda @LindaLatte you probably mentioned details already - are you taking a position with the sheriff's office?
Waving hello to Barbara @sydsgma1 , @Fressa and @cindyNC

Hi Bernie. I was intrigued by the "snug plugs" but ended up ordering a smaller number from an on-line seller. I have not tried them out yet, but I hope that they work.
Sorry about the birds. I don't think any eggs were involved, but I noticed a bunch of sticks had fallen down from a place where the doves often make their nest (front porch beams). Sometimes, they manage to successfully reproduce and I get to see the little ones hatch and fly off. But, more often, the nests fall down and the eggs are broken. It is sad.
I was accepted for the Sheriff's Auxiliary "Academy" (training) -- Tuesday - Friday next week. If all goes well, I will be able to volunteer there. Those of us in this "soft badge" class will not officially graduate (be able to wear the full uniforms, get a name badge, etc.) until October when the regular volunteers graduate. I understand that there is a ceremony plus a luncheon (or party with food) after the graduation.
I have decided not to look for another volunteer position until I see how much I enjoy this one. And, I will continue with the senior lunch program and visiting my two special ladies.
Hope your weather cools down as expected and you get used to the new crown. My SIL had oral surgery today. I can't remember if it was a crown or an implant. DD said he was doing okay but not totally with it.

Good Morning/Afternoon! It is sunny and warm here. But, the wind was pretty strong on my walk, and expected to strengthen today. I know some parts of the country have had very bad storms. Hope none of you were affected.
It should be a very quiet day for me, which is fine. I am making some progress with housework.
I think it will be a "Today's Special" on HSN tomorrow, but I was able to order Andrew Lessman's eye vitamins at the sale price today. Certainly not a small price, but I feel they are helping me.
Waves to Bernie, Fressa, Barbara, Glenda, Susan, and all of our posters and readers.
Hope everyone has a nice evening.
Hugs,
Linda

Hi Everyone!!
Our weather is more of the same but better than a few states. Hope everyone escapes anything nasty.
Birdmama---That's a shame about the bird nest and eggs. The birds around here favor the metal umbrella flower holder for their nests. Go figure!!! It's on the front porch with ffaux flowers in it. I guess they feel safe but still have room to come and go.
LindaLatte---Congratulations on your new volunteer sheriffs auzillary position. It sure sounds interesting. Hope you get continued relief on your back.
Today was a "surprise" repair day to the downstairs shower. The wall that has the faucets, etc. on had this decoraative panel insert around the fixtures, etc. Well the adhesive holding that on the wall was peeling which was not good. UGH!!! Plumbing and water issues are not our field.. Long story short is we were able to pry the stone off the panel and replace it with subway tile. It looks so much better. Our home is an older home so there's always a "surprise or two " every so often. We got lucky and found the tile on sale at Home Depot. What a break.
I finally completed all the planting but still have half of the solar light project to complete. Between the weather and my migraines it keeps getting pushed back on the list.
Have a good afternoon/evening.
