SHOPAHOLICS: ONE DAY AT A TIME (MONDAY, DEC. 4)

[ Edited ]

Good Morning, Ladies!   Our weather should be nice again today -- highs in the 70's and lows in the upper 40's.  Like Jean, I much prefer warmer weather to cold.  Which reminds me -- hope you take it easy this week, twinny, and your weather is good.  I tried to look at the super moon (I think that is what is is called) yesterday evening, but it was pretty cloudy.  This morning it was really something.

The drummer boy is a nice touch, Bernie.  I have decorations/ornaments like that which make me smile every year when I put them out.

This morning, I am attending a meeting about a series of classes designed to help older people's brains.  I think it is a combination of many things, including exercise,  socialization, etc.  Not sure if it is for me, but I thought I would give it a try.

A friend of mine called yesterday to tell me that her husband passed away last week.  They were in CA at the time (one of their daughters lives there).  I knew and liked her husband very much, so I'm sad for her and all who loved him.  He refused to go to the doctor, so she doesn't really know what he had.  But, he was on hospice at the end, and died at home as he wished.

DH was much better yesterday, and I'm so pleased.  He was mostly awake in his wheelchair, and he was smiling.  He also ate pretty well.  It is hard for me to believe that one extra dose of his medicine did so much damage, but I am glad he is so much better.

Waves to all of our posters and readers.  Have a good day, and post if you have a chance.

Hugs,

Linda

P.S. I did order the Kindle Fire TSV yesterday (red), but I'm still having doubts.

@LindaLatte  I hope you enjoy your class today.  Let us know if you learn anything new!

Today is my birthday, so I'm happy to see that it's still sunny and warm (60 degrees in NE Ohio is much better than a snow storm!).  The weather is supposed to take a long term turn for the cold starting the middle of this week.

This will be my last year in my 60's, so I plan to make the best of it!

Linda--Thank you for starting the thread. Your weather sounds great, and the news that DH was more alert today is even greater. So sorry that your friend's DH died. Things like this often remind us of our own mortality. I' sure you will make the right decision about the Fire. Perhaps getting it home and trying it outwill help you make the decision.

2blonde--Happy Birthday and welcome to the thread. Please post whenever you can. Regardless of our age, we should focus uponmakig each year the best it can be.

I worked today which was a great assignment. I had a nagging headache all day and felt a little dizzy at times but the vitals checks were all ok. I may be trying to get the cold that is circulating in our area again.

That Junor's Dulce de Leche Caramel Cheesecake looks so, so good. Oh well, the Cheesecake Factory is only 3 hours away and I can't eat this all by myself.

Helllo, I'm running late.  It was one of those days Woman Tongue

I finally received an email from Amazon - the book I pre-ordered in April is finally going to be delivered next week (between 12-11 and 12-15).    I'll put it under the tree for Christmas.
